We are in our 11th year in the league. We finally made the playoffs last year and won a playoff game along with our division.

Superbowl was the talk before the season. Superbowl is still the talk before and after cushing went down. The afc is very weak this season. The football gods wrecked baltimore. New England is not the power house it once was. Neither is pittsburg and the rest of our division is rebuilding.

As long as we dont suffer any more game changing injuries, EVERYTHING IS LINING UP FOR US TO GO TO THE BIG GAME.

This is the year for Kubiak & Schaub to prove the naysayers wrong.

ITS TIME FOR A SUPERBOWL APPEARANCE.

Anything less is uncivilized.

I'd say anything less than AFC Championship is a failure as far as taking things a step further but i'm definitely expecting a Super Bowl cause something just tells me it is our year.

It's a bit of a Tall order to ask a team to goto the super bowl with a lame HC & QB, don't you think?
 
Screw the playoffs and the Super Bowl. I think the success of this season should be judged by the post-season honors awarded to Kareem Jackson.
 
Dude, if this franchise doesn't win 3 out of the next 4 Super Bowls, they really suck as a dynasty.

I'll give you Rex Grossman as a valid example.

But Barry Switzer? For real? Dude inherited a championship team loaded with Hall of Fame talent. Not at all applicable to the Houston Texans situation.

walter prior to this season had been a very underwhelming #2 wr. Jackson is still getting burned and called for PI what seems like every week.

its not unreasonable to ask for some adjustments like seeing what other players can do like martin or jean (before he got injured) and carmichael and harris on defense.

kevin walter always does this. has a big game then disappears the rest of the season but the defense is always he's a great runblocker.

Walter was to be number 3. Jacoby should have developed to be the #2 guy and didnt? Walter has stepped in and alright

kubiak now has a talented team because of the changes of wade philips and moves made by rick smith. people still question his chops as a head coach much like switzer despite a talented team on both sides of the ball.

very valid imo.
 
Maybe a failure for the Texans themselves, but I'm kinda having fun right now, so whatev... Success...

If someone would have compared Switzer to Kubiak a couple of years ago, I can only imagine how many pages of posts would have been spared in the all encompassing fire kubiak thread.

Switzer inherited a Cowboys team that had just won two Super Bowls.

Kubiak took over a 2-14 team.

The only similarities is that both Switzer and Kubiak are NFL head coaches for teams in Texas.
 
Dude, there's more than just the "New Thread" button for you to click.

As the subject, SB should be the goal every season, but let's not forget that there are 32 teams in the league, and 31 will be disappointed at the end of the season. All I can ask for is that they take care of things in their control, and if they do that, they'll go far in the playoffs.
