Jackass of the game - in the stands

4x4tx

Waterboy
Got to give a shout out to the 4 drunks in my section that tried to fight the long time season ticket holders that sit in front of them because the couple got tired of them dropping F bombs in their ear after every play and spilling beer on them. These guys were out of control from the get go. Stadium ushers were no where to be found when the fight was about to go down, all I could picture was that youtube video of the trash fighting from earlier in the year. I wish I would have had the texan fan line on me because these guys violated about half of the rules. You wont find a bigger football fan than me but acting like a total jackass is unacceptable if you are disturbing the entire section. Apparently these clowns are new season ticket holders so there are going to be some problems going forward and I really lost the desire to attend any more games. Anyone else with issues like this in the past, how have the texans handled these situations? I sent a email to the customer service today. I felt terrible for the couple in these guys were picking on, I know they have been season ticket holders since the beginning.

The stadium ushers are there specifically for situations like that, but they can't be aware of every potential situation among 70,000 people. You have to go alert them.

miss the old days when they was 200K people in the parking lot ...... :P

remember that dallas game like 4 years ago LOL

Speaking as someone who is a total jackass.....

Okay, I'm not a jackass, I'm just a dumbass.. That said, there is no room for that BS.... Make sure that if these fools continue with that behaviour, you and the folks around you should make consistent reports often and early.

That type of behaviour is simply unacceptable!!

 Jackasses!

There is a number you can text to alert stadium officials that there is an issue. People should definitely use this when it seems like there is potential for things to get out of hand.

The text will work on game day. You can call your ticket rep and report it. They will warn them then act if they need to

The GB fans that were around us we're pretty cool. But the fans that came down when the Texans fans left are another story. We had to get a couple behind us tossed because the woman wouldn't stop talking trash and they INSISTED they were REAL Packers fans because they have been fans for 5 years.

Sorry lady. You are the definition of a t-shirt bandwagon fan.

There was almost a fight in my section as well I don't know how it started but one of the guys who sits in front of me was screaming at this dude and he is pretty laid back I have never seen him mad other than when referee guns is screwing over the texans.

This is exactly why I rarely go to games anymore. Especially since I have 2 small kids that I don't want their ears blasted with noise and bad language.

Total shame.

With 65-70" + flat panel TVs and HD cable, your home can be quite a nice place to watch the games.

Although, when my kids are a bit older - I will take them occasionally.

Had a similar problem with my son & I at the playoff game last year. The guy was beyond drunk--slobbering, mumbling, stumbling, and "hey babe, go get me another beer." Except the problem was, "babe" was actually MOM. He was easily 25 yrs old and there with his MOM & DAD. They were clearly embarassaed by his behavior, but in typical co-dependant fashion they just kept buying him beer after beer after beer.

But hey, he was doing pretty well at keeping to himself. Annoying and obnoxious, but not over the line imo.
But I've kinda got rabbit ears when it comes to profanity in public. Call it a pet peeve if you like.

A call didn't go his way and he proceeded to drop F-bomb after F-bomb after F-bomb. When he got done w/his rant, I turned around and whispered sweet nothings in his ear about what was going to happen if he didn't sit down and have some respect for not only my child, but also the other families, wives, children and folks there to enjoy the game. He got my drift and sat down. That was also his last beer of the evening. I got a round of applause from those seated in our area. The guy was being obnoxious the whole game, but not profane until that point.

With that said, it helps that I'm 6'3" and 320 lbs and resemble a reject from the Bandidos MC.

There will always be more drunks at night games. They've had all day to liquor up. Nature of the beast.

There's a Houston Police officer that sits a couple rows behind me in section 116. He HATEs the Texans and is one of the most obnoxious, loud, rude, and insulting fans I've ever seen ANYWHERE! This dude never shuts up with his insults and negative criticism of our team. NONstop drivil coming out of his mouth for most of the game, and he pulls for whoever we are playing, no specific team loyality we can tell, except maybe for the Titans. I know he has been reported and that might be why we have seen increased security on the isle between 115-116. Truly not sure what security can do about it. He is not a drunk, just an instigator. The dude wants to provoke a fight, that's for sure. This past Sunday I truly felt it might be worth going to jail just for the enjoyment of busting his lip. I carry a heavy purse!!:pursefight: J/k! I would never hit anyone, but, wouldn't try to stop anyone else from punching this dudes lights out.

Grandma you do nit have to hit anyone give me his seat number we will clear this up with the Texans and the Police Dept he works for

We had a gb fan flipping off the section, a texans fan yelling bandwagoner at everyone who left early, a gb fan pointing out the exits to everyone when gb scored, and some texans fan yelling at another because his sign blocked their view, and of course the usual language.......oh fun

I never have problems with folks spouting vulgar language. It's absoluotely fine by me if they do it around my 10 year old.

:bubbles:

precisely why i've never liked going to any sporting event. & even if i do go, i have absolutely no problem sitting in the nosebleeds sections. people up there usually are "normal"..some people can just be total jackasses.

He buys season tickets just so he can hate on the Texans? That guy must have issues. Doesn't seem like someone who would uphold the law during his day job.

I truly despise these situations. I get rowdy and loud, but never BOO unless it's an extremely clearly bad call, or if it looks unfair. I try not to be negative to anything, even opposing teams.

If I have my kids with me, I will probably just frown and tilt my head while looking at them, and make a pointing motion to my kids, and they'll say "Oh, ok... ok... I'll tone it down, sorry about that" because they see my kids are there, but... they will think I'm an ahole because I ask nicely to stop cursing so much. :( I guess I need my kids with me at all times?

Sounds like the soccer games over here. Go to a Chelsea or West Ham (or any other game for that matter) and the language is utterly disgusting. Sometimes you look around and think "those poor kids are gonna hear that" only to see the kids flippin the ref off and cussing too, with the parents standing nearby saying nothing! Nuts :kubepalm:

We've handled this in a couple of ways:

1) We're in a PSL area, and it's not difficult to find out who the PSL owner is. I spoke with the CEO of a local company about a 4-some's behavior and he was none too pleased. Haven't seen those guys since.

2) Calling the Texans results in a heightened awareness/presence and a quicker response & resolution when you contact them during the game/while it's happening.

You're kind of my hero for that.

Yeah, the ****** cursing gets totally ******* out of control sometimes. I don't know why every ****** 4th word out of some ******* people's mouths has to be a ****** F bomb.

Some old grandma packer fan..was screaming the entire 2nd half go pack go.....it got old after 1 min.....

she would not shut up....rude old woman......

Precisely why I hate night games. The dudes behind me are obnoxious on a good day. Bring them to a night game, and they're unbearable. Have them bring a cracked out female GB fan who screams at decibels that pierce your eardrums and who spills beer all over you, and that's when I say "Eff it", and leave for the concourse at halftime. :pissed:

Actually, he sounds like the stereotypical "bad ass with a badge" kind of guy. Bullied others as a kid, couldn't get enough, became a cop to try and continue the trend.

I definitely boo the other team, but only because when I make that particular sound, my voice carries very, very well. It's a deeper, rolling sound, and I only do it when the opposing QB is getting set, to add to the noise and mess up his ability to communicate at the line.
