gary's surgery

kermit

Waterboy
Just to let you know, Gary had a 6 hour operation on his hand today at St. Lukes. His hand is competely straightened out and his thumb is where it should be as well. He is wearing a huge cast but the surgeon proclaimed the surgery a complete success. Long road ahead but I am sure he will do fine. Don't know how long it will be before he is on board here but I am willing to bet by tomorrow he will be demanding his computer to log onto TT. Before the surgery I heard he had the nurses and Drs. laughing so much it was hard for them to perform their duties. If all goes well he should be home tomorrow.

THANKS so much for posting! I was wondering how it went and hadn't seen anything posted on FB either. My prayers will be sent for him! What a trooper!

That's AWESOME!! I wish I had seen this earlier!

Does this mean he'll be able to take a pull of my drink on his own??

I know... I know!

 Bill!

Glad to hear it...now he can more easily give the finger to Bud the next time the Titans come to town! :kitten:

Sincere suggestion that will help your recovery. Learn the alphabet in sign language. There's no better hand rehab than doing the ABCs over and over. I severed several tendons in my hand on three separate occasions and I have no doubt it was my ability to sign that sped up or strengthened my healing progress.

Wow, great news! Check in with us soon Gary. Maybe this could be posted in the No Sports forum as many of us do not review this one?

First Gary's sighting on the main forum.

I wish I was there to watch him type that line on the keyboard. :goodluck:

Go Gary, go! :doot:

I don't know Gary, but really glad to hear he's on the mend! Good to hear dude :)

We've had a young man from England visiting Houston and the Blue Crew before.

Haven't seen him on the MB this year.
I wonder what happens to him... maybe a girl... :smiliepalm:
