Week 1 late games thread

GB/SF will be a great game. Can't wait to watch it, I love football season!

I have Aaron Rodgers in 3 of my 4 fantasy leagues, so I am a GB fan this year :D

Geeeuz. The New Orleans - Washington game started at noon!!! It's like every stinking play stops the clock and they still have the 2:00 warning coming.

Akers just hit a 63 harder right at halftime
Hit the crossbar but still
Holy crap. Ties nfl record

Niners lead 16-7

Commentators giving new refs a hard time about the supposed miss of a block in the back. I watched the replay a bunch of times....I think no call was the right call

The close up they showed wasn't what should have been called. 56 ran over 24 from behind, that was further up field.

Got it! I guess he could have broken the record in Mile High. That was impressive.

To me... Tom Dempsey still held the record and it finally got tied today. The air in Denver is crazy thin and plays tricks on records. There are also by far more homeruns hit out there than anywhere else. Heck even Dempsey had an advantage with his stump.

That was an incredible kick by Akers. Incredible!

Skelton got carted off with an injury in Arizona. It looks like it's Kolb's show to run there now. He better take advantage of this opportunity.

It took the officials 5 minutes to figure out if Seattle had any timeouts left or not.

Replacement refs :facepalm:

Legitimate question here. A guy went down with an injury with less than 2 minutes left but the clock had stopped for an incomplete pass. Is that a timeout used or not?

Look at that. Dressen is wearing 81

I wonder if that's showing love to OD, or if OD has been keeping him from wearing that number all these years.

Rule 4 Game Timing

INJURY TIMEOUTS PRIOR TO TWO-MINUTE WARNING OF EITHER HALF

Article 3When an injury timeout is called, the injured player must leave the game for the completion of one
down. The player will be permitted to remain in the game if:
(a) either team calls a charged team timeout;
(b) the injury is the result of a foul by an opponent; or
(c) the period ends or the two-minute warning occurs before the next snap.
At the conclusion of an injury timeout, the game clock will start as if the injury timeout had not occurred. If either
team takes, or is charged with, a timeout, the clock will start on the snap.

INJURY TIMEOUTS AFTER TWO-MINUTE WARNING OF EITHER HALF

Article 4After the two-minute warning of a half, the following shall apply:
(a) If a team has not used its three charged team timeouts, the team of the injured player will be charged
a team timeout, unless:
(i) the injury is the result of a foul by an opponent;
(ii) the injury occurs during a down in which there is a change of possession, a successful field goal,
or an attempted Try; or
(iii) the opponent calls a timeout.
(b) If a team has used its three charged team timeouts, an excess team timeout shall be called by the
Referee, unless:
(i) the injury is the result of a foul by an opponent;
(ii) the injury occurs during a down in which there is a change of possession, a successful field goal,
or an attempted Try; or
(iii) the opponent calls a timeout.

See all Game Timing Rules for additional details/questions on this situation

Peyton looks good. The broncos are a legit team now.

The fact that he's switched teams, and still is able to command the offense and have superb timing with his wr's is amazing.

The guy is simply amazing. I'm glad I get to watch him.
