I'm pretty sure he won't get picked up (he was undrafted for a reason) and he'll be back in Houston on the practice squad.

I think people on this board overrate Keenum. Dont get me wrong, I think he has potential and can eventually be a player. But he was undrafted, and hasn't really shown anything in the preseason games (he really wasnt given a chance to though). I don't think any team will pick him up. The PS is prob the best place for him to land. Let him learn for another year.
 
Too much upside not to be picked up.

I'm still surprised nobody drafted him in the 6th or 7th round.

His pro ceiling is higher than Yates, IMO.

From this, it's highly likely he makes the PS. He didn't do bad. Made good decisions, hand off fakes were decent/good, pocket presence and scrambling were good. Limited passing attempts, so not much to evaluate there. For where he's coming from, another year learning Kubiak's offense would do him some good (although it seems like that for a lot of the players coming in on the offensive side...must be something with the system, complicated, or requires precision? dunno)
