Souvenir Tickets

Hello, everyone I a new to the site and I had a quick question. Not sure where I should post this so move this thread if need be. I just purchased two tickets (havent picked it up yet) and the owner of the tickets said they were souvenir tickets but I am unsure what those are. Can someone care to explain to me what it is? Is it different than regular tickets? Thank you!

The only souvenir tickets season ticket holders ever got, as far as I can remember, was the first EVER game against the Cowboys back in 2002.

You may want to make sure they are real tickets and will let get you admittance into the game. It kinds sounds like they are trying to trick you into buying something worthless and/or fake.

How can I find out if they are real or fake?

Call the Houston Texans ticket office, explain your situation and ask them if there is way to verify the tickets.

Maybe you can call them and verify the bar code that they are real and are not cancelled. THey will probably tell you to go through the Texans ticket exchange

You can also have the guy email you the ticket through the Texans website, assuming he's the season ticket holder. If he is not, I'd be very wary.

Also, by "souvenir tickets" he may mean the nice tickets the season ticket holder get and not the plain paper ones or the ones that get printed by ticketmaster.

Contact the seller and see what he meant by that.

thanks for all the help! can you elaborate the part about him emailing me the tickets through the Texans website? what exactly would he have to do? go into ticketmaster and post the tickets for sale and i purchase them?

(1) you can usually confirm ownership of tickets through the Texans' office. You will need the season ticket holder's name and the seat locations. If the seller is NOT the season ticket/psl holder you can not verify them.

(2) if they are the season ticket owner, they have the ability to forward gameday tickets to you by e-mail

(3) I have never heard 'souvenier' used to describe ticket, but maybe they mean:

Yea i was thinking the same thing. that those tickets may be the bigger one you posted above

Does $425 for a pair of chairman' suite ticket with blue parking suite sound too good to be true? or is that fair price? if that price seems a tad too good then maybe i should be more wary.

I emailed him asking if he's the season ticket holder and if there is a way he can verify it.

For PRE-season, it's sounds reasonable. For REGULAR season, it'd be a steal.

By souvenier he might of ment hard copy like posted above.

Okay, he just emailed me back and he said "souvenir" meant the tickets are hard copy with the pictures of the players. He is the PSL seat owner (not etickets) and has sent two pictures with his season tickets. If the tickets are indeed hard copy and dont seem to be tampered with is that enough proof for me? Or should I try to validate his name is the actual PSL owner?

He sent me pictures of all the season tickets which could be a stock photo but it does show that those tickets seem "souvenir" like.

I was told that the tickets where in Section 743 but isnt this the Gridiron Terrace and not the directors club seats?

In the Texans website it says its the Gridiron Terrace but when i go to the site where it has the sale of PSL http://texans.seasonticketrights.com/Permanent-Seat-Licenses/Permanent-Seat-Licenses.aspx it shows 743 as the directors club

Edit: It just dawned on me (a lil slow) that the directors and chairman's club are opposite each other and maybe hte site hasnt updated?
