That's great........because he's going to be here........even if it takes a tag, which I hope doesn't happen.

Texans left tackle Duane Brown is in the final year of his rookie contract, and he says hed love to stay in Houston long-term.
A first-round draft pick in 2008 out of Virginia Tech, Brown discussed his contract situation last week on my Off the Turf with Scurf podcast.
Id absolutely love to stay in Houston, he said. I was drafted here, been here four years. I love the city, love this organization. I love the team. I love my teammates. So Id love to be here as long as I can. You know, its a business. You dont really have too much control over what happens, but all I can do is control this year. Im here to play. Im here to give 150 percent and try to have the best year of my career.
Brown is coming off a stellar 2011 season, when he allowed only 2.5 sacks and was named second-team All-Pro. Texans coach Gary Kubiak said last week that Brown is having a great offseason and taking his game to another level.
Im just capitalizing off of the best season of my career, Brown said. Im a certified veteran on this team now, and I realized what I can do and my capability. (Im) just trying to polish up all the small techniques of my game and, like you said, just take it to another level.
Going into (last) season, I felt pretty good, mentally and physically. I changed a lot as far as film study and just how I handle my business off of the field, and it showed. Halfway through the season, I realized Im starting to get where Im more comfortable. The game slowed down for me a lot, and I could play with more aggression and more intensity because of that, so it was a great feeling.
Brown is poised for a Pro Bowl season after being named an alternate for the AFC in 2011. It could be his first of many as a Texan.
