did anyone get the magazine i think it just came out anyway they predictions are in they think the AFCS will play out like this

Texans 10-6
titans-8-8
Jags-5-11
Colts-4-12

10-6 is kinda a safe pick IMO but if this is true then a 9-7 could also win the divison this year

Make the Texans 11-5 and the Titans 9-7 and I'll buy that prediction. Kittens and Dolts aren't going nowhere this season. Titans will make some noise and the Texans will take the division.

I would not be surprised if the Colts end up better than the Jags and end up being a tough team to play against.

They still have Reggie Wayne, They drafted those two TE's which will help Luck tremendously...They still have Freeney and Mathis coming off the edge...

That team still has talent on it. And even though Luck is a rookie, I don't expect him to be Blaine Gabbert out there. I expect Luck to play well and produce.

But I also expect the Jags to be better.

Honestly, I think the Titans are going to take a step backward.

I think the key to Luck not being like Gabbert will be his O-line's play. They aren't what they use to be and they lost Saturday this off season. With a young LT and RT and lots of ??? at Guard and Center, it could be a long season for Luck.

jags still have a very good defence and good run game, also added some weapons for gabbert (blackmon).
Im not saying there going to the playoffs but i think they'll go around 7-9.
2 wins in the division then 5 outside it isn't that hard for that team.

Regardless, I don't think Luck will be Gabbert like...

I think Luck understands the game better and has a better feel for the game.

They have no running game. Defenses are going to pin their ears back and Luck is going to look like D Carr before this year is over with.

doubt that. Fleener & Allen are two stud, legit TE prospects that Carr never had plus Luck is much higher rated QB anyway.

Colts averaged 4.2 ypc last season. For a reference we avereaged .3 yards more getting 4.5 ypa.

4.2 ypa is not bad at all. What the Colts didn't have last year was a dedication to the run game. Maybe it had something to do with them getting behind a bunch or maybe it was just bad play calling. I don't know...I only watched the Colts the two times we played them.

I'm not predicting that the The Colts are going to light the league on fire or be a play-off team, but I wouldn't sleep on them. I think they will be improved this next season and could push for 6-8 wins.

Agreed. I think those two TE's plus still having Wayne is going to be a huge help to Luck.

They also added two WR's in the draft. Hilton should help open the offense up with his long speed.

A. Freeney and Mathis aren't 6'6" and 290 lbs.
B. Yes they have.

Probably because of how dominant and established of a career theyve both had. I know that doesn't really imply they'd be great in a 3-4 scheme, but if there are a handful of ends that can do it successfully, I'd be okay with putting Feeny and Mathis in that bunch.

Also, anyone who predicts us going 10-6 is more a testament to our schedule. 11-5 would be pretty great actually.

I agree. Saw Luck play a number of times in H.S. and also on TV at Standford. Knew he was something special back then. I just hope his O-line doesn't get him killed. Wish he never went to the Colts. Just doesn't seem fair they get to draft 2 of the greatest QB's from college. Oh well, I guess it was destiny, with a name like Luck and a team with a horseshoe as its logo!

That works well when you jump up two scores on teams in a quarter or when a team expects to have to keep up with your powerful offense. Not the best defense when they are playing from behind.

I have to wonder if the Jags win a game .... Bad QB play isnt conducive to winning. Gabbert , Henne and Palmer scare no one .... Maurice Jones-Drew is a hell of a back but without a passing game , teams will stack the box on him for the early downs putting them in a lot of 2nd - 3rd and long situations .... those lead to mistakes from pressure.

They could go 0-16

I cant see the Tits going 8-8 , they play the same tough schedule the Texans do minus Denver and Baltimore - They get the Steelers and Chargers instead.
Dont see their passing game being much better than the Jags (Ok , it'll be better , just not real good).
Wr Nate Washington had a career year in 2011 , do you expect him to repeat that ?
Who the hell are Damian Williams (wr) and Craig Stevens (te). They combined for 54 receptions last season .....
Does Matt Hasselbeck have anything left ? Behind him is Jake Locker and Rusty Smith .... They have a combined 66 passing attempts in the NFL.

I think the Tits go 6-10 at best. They over achieved last season.

The Dolts , who are they going to beat other than the Jags ?

They go 2-14.

Tits rise and fall on CJ. If he has a good year, that is IF, the Titans could very well compete for a wild card spot. My prediction is CJ will have a much better year this year than last. But we both know what predictions are worth this time of the season. LOL

Agreed on Jags and Dolts though. It's nice going into the season with the feeling that we WILL take the division again. It's been a long time coming.

I think for the Tits , it comes down to Hasselbeck not turning the ball over. Thats what kept them in games last season ... With or without CJ , if the QB play isnt spotless , they dont win many.

Gabbert is the one that looked like David Carr. Luck has a feel for the pocket....something those other two guys don't have much of.

When Luck looks at as many 2nd and 8 , 3rd and 10's as he'll likely see this season .... He'll be lucky to make it thru without injury.

Recall Peytons first season ... and Aikman's for that matter , both took a beating. Ancient history now after a few rings.

Rookie TE's
Rookie QB
NO more Adibi
new C
new G's
Crappy OT
new playbook
new coach
new system
new defense that is going to have the offense playing from behind alot

Throw in that Luck has never had to play with consistent pressure coming at him. He has had very good OL's everywhere he has played. All this equals bad juju for Luck. This is a complete rebuilding year for Indy. They better hope Luck holds up through the growing pains. They would be smart to sit him and let some vet come in and take the punishment.

Just as long as its not the Texans, I want to see him beat those odds. What hurts them is going to be the aging, undersized defense not necessarily the offense anyway, big whoop :turtle:

Yeah and neither is particularly good against the run. They have been able to pin their ears back and ignore the run for years because Peyton would put the Colts up a couple scores and force the other team out of rushing. Neither has any coverage experience to speak of as well. So yes the obvious is they are still there and will be good pass rushers.
