Hey, can some of you draftniks post your player rankings here? I'd like to see your rankings before the draft.

Not your mock drafts, I think we've seen plenty of those, but your top 100 players or however many you've ranked.

I would if my ****ING computer hadn't crashed yesterday. :kubepalm:

Thank god I just bought a new lap top just for the draft. Wish I had made copies of all my notes. Planned on having both going at same time.

Slapped this together real fast. This is players that were on my board (off the top of my head) specifically for the Texans. Left out the top rated guys I am certain won't be there. I would be happy with any of these guys for the right price.

Sorry, did not see this thread, I had a friend over for the draft and was not on the board much yesterday.

Slapped this together real fast.

Jerel Worthy DT Michigan State
Coby Fleener TE Stanford
Andre Branch DE Clemson
Whitney Mercilus DE Illinois

Is this list arranged from highest ranked to lowest? Or is it "just slapped together"

Do you have any concerns with the Texans taking Mercilus with these other players still available?

On the college football section of the board, I have links to a draft spradsheet I put together (though you need Excel to see it) - it's got a list of rankings from 6 different places, along with a weighted average (I chose the weights). Sites are:
NFLDraftScout (CBS),
NFL (seems weird to me that they'd have their own ranking - I would think they'd be more impartial)
Sports Illustrated
Scout.com (given 3/4 weight)
NationalFootballPost.com (given 1/2 weight)
NFLDraftCountdown.com (given 1/2 weight)

Based on that, here are the top 100 players I have remaining, with their "average" ranking from those sites:
  1. Cordy Glenn OT Georgia 18.95
  2. Courtney Upshaw DE Alabama 20.74
  3. Coby Fleener TE Stanford 26.74

Holy crap, some of you REALLY love football, lol.

That's what I really love about this game. There are so many different angles & they're all very deep. No matter who you are, you should be able to find something to cling onto.

For the record....... I don't see Posey's name on any of these lists.

:kitten:

Illinois is just not a team I cover much. But so far in this draft they had two players selected in the 1st. including Mercilus & two in the 2nd & that's a clear indication of an impressive program. Now I'm back-filling film on Whitney & I like what I see. What stands out to me is his closing speed, way he finishes plays. He showed me both discipline and explosiveness.

There is one thing however that concerns me about him is that to be effective he needs to stay clean. Texans have not yet addressed interior tackle position or depth @ DE. This will be key in the 4th rd. guys like Chapman, Crick & Ta'amu are still available.
