As many of you know. I have been criticized for so many years for my spelling related errors, and at this time. I will like to personally thank every one on this forum. I have pushed myself to the breaking point so many times, but yet none of you ever gave up on me. I have learned a lot from the past years. I started out trying to get my thoughts, and ideas out on this forum. I was made fun of for my spelling, punctuation, and so on. When I take the time to look back at some of my very first posts. I cant help but to smile. Just by being able to see how far I have come.

I have just got done finishing my G.E.D test on April second, and today I got the greatest news in my young life. I passed!

The reason I am thanking every one on here is, the highest score I got was writing. I was shocked to be honest, but when I got a chance to think clearly.

The first thing that came to my mind was this forum. The truth is if i did not stick to this forum, if I never been motivated to push my self. I would not of passed.


So I thank every one on this forum.

It took me a second to figure out who you were, not because of your writing, but because I was trying to figure out who HouSportsWriter is. :lol:

I'm really happy to see this, in fact I'm ecstatic. Makes me glad I defended you against the grammer nazis, but it seems it was the grammer nazis that pissed you off enough to accomplish this. It sometimes happens that way, negative pressure works if done so in a motivating fashion. It has for me in the past.

So good luck. Why did you change your name from SIAB to HouSportsWriter anyway? Do you plan on doing some writing?
 
Way to go, congratulations. This is just the beginning, move forward in life and do well. Know that there is nothing beyond your reach if you want it and are willing to work for it.

I was one that really chastised you for your poor syntax, poor spelling, and incoherent posts. Tbh, my gut feeling was that you were an undercover Titan fan trying to be funny. At least me acting like an a-hole helped you out I guess. However, I do apologize and want to tell you congrats at the same time. You've come a very long way!

Now if you could just help Norg out a little...

Somebody should let Andrew6 know about this thread. I remember that he was one of the first people on board to be kind to SIAB in the beginning. I was thinking... wow. Andrew6 is about the most positive and encouraging person I know. My motto came from him... Be good and do good.

Brandon, I hope you remember a post on another thread when I said how proud I was of you. I did not thing it was possible but I am even more proud of you today. A very good step on your life's journey. God Bless! Steve

As someone who spent two years teaching an ADULT ESL class down the hall from a GED class let me say Congratulations young man. I respect anyone who decides he/she wants to go back to school. Well done. I'm proud of you.

So, upon rereading, I’ve noticed several grammatical mistakes and sentence structure mistakes in your first post in this thread. You Sir are worthless. Don’t post here ever again. :)

Recognizing humor and bull****, and distinguishing the difference between the two, is important. Especially on this thing called the internet. The internet is full of horse****. Writing for real is important. So, I have to ask you again, is your name change meaning you plan on doing some writing? I am retiring in a few years, and I plan on writing science fiction stories for a living then. That’s just a point. What I am asking, is are you planning on using your new found skills to do some actual writing in accordance with your new name?

Sorry to keep you waiting. I been busy helping my sick great grandma. I have allways wished to write articles on the Houston sports teams. My main topic would be football, but I would most likely spread to other teams such as the astros and rockets. I am as of today looking to be a graphic / website designer. In the comeing years. I plan on useing what I learned from school to make a blog.
I allready understand the basics of HTML "websites", and Photoshop "Graphics". My goal would be to just have people to read, and INJOY my posts. What ever comes from that I will handle when the time comes. I plan for the blog to be a hobby. After I am doing well money wise, and if the houseing market is doing ALOT better. I would at that time follow my dream of being a real estate agent.
