The Texans are hosting Northwestern State cornerback Jeremy Lane today, according to an article by Joe Owens on nflmocks.com and a post on Lane's Twitter account.
The Texans attended Lane's Pro Day on Thursday and were obviously impressed enough to bring him in for a closer look.
The Texans need to replace cornerback Jason Allen who was lost in free agency.
Draft projections for Lane are all over the place, which isn't unusual for a player from a smaller school like Northwestern State (Natchitoches, Louisiana) which plays in the Southland Conference with the likes of Sam Houston State and Stephen F. Austin.
