Yuck....

I do not like Vinny Curry...

I mean...He's well built football player, and he's not terrible, but I'd rather have someone more explosive...

I would probably sob with joy as two of my favorite players. Anyone watching Curry especially at Senior Bowl would love this kid. He benched 225 28 times. 4.64 40 with 35" vertical @ pro day. He had wrist injury @ combine. 6'3" 265 with ability to create fumbles. Great stats. Think he will be gone but like Ronnell Lewis #58

Wright is simply amazing. Now come on LZ with a third...

I just don't know if those guys will be there but the draft is so unpredictable. If they are available at those two spots I will have no complaints.

Its hard to argue with filling our top 2 needs like that.

That would have me feeling as good as the JJ Watt/Brooks Reed combo from last year!

I haven't watched a lot of fletcher cox...

Beerlover really likes him but not sure if he thinks he will go that high. i did not focus on the lighter DTs.

He's good but not JJ Watt good. So that would be a bit of a reach there LZ.

I think Curry fits what we look for in a player. He will give all out effort every snap. May not be a WOW athlete but will be there all 60 minutes.

I would be ok with that draft, think I would not go WR first round but that is just my philosophy.

That would be a pretty good draft.

If I'm cincy, I'd take Floyd in this mock. With the great defense in that division it'd be nice to counteract some of that.

They'd be good at wr for a while. Aj green, simpson and Floyd would be extremely hard to guard.

I don't think Wright is what the Texans are looking for at WR. Randle or Hill if they go WR in the 1st. Curry would make sense in the 2nd, though Bruce Irvin is the more dynamic pass rusher.

Can't see the Dolphins passing on Tannehill. Not even if Blackmon dropped. And why does Cleveland, St. Louis, and Jacksonville all pass on Blackmon? If he has that many red flags, he'll keep dropping.

I was thinking the same about Cleveland, but they have them taking Floyd later in the first, then Wilson in the second. I don't really see them going after another CB so high in this draft after taking Hayden a couple of years ago. But without trading down, it's kind of hard to take anyone else.

It might make more sense for them to take Blackmon there, then grab Cordy Glenn or Devon Still later in the first. That's probably what I would do if I were them.

Steve Smith might play angrier than anyone else in the NFL. He's a midget bully who feels like he has to prove himself on every single play. "Throw me the m*-f* ball!!" is his mantra, and the rookie QB listened. Huge chip on his his shoulder works for him.

I don't see Wright, or really anyone else, in that very unique class.

I think we'll see Blackmon go top 6, maybe by trade as Rams/Browns may be discussing.

Fortunately Texans don't have to have an elite WR just someone who can take pressure off AJ by going across middle, deep or sideline route & hang onto the ball. Wright is known to jump against taller defenders and take the ball in. He can play slot or flanker. Not an AJ replacement but a great #2.

Lance use to post his mocks here himself, haven't seen much of him around here lately?

His first round is usually quite accurate. I don't like Claiborne over Richardson @ #4 however. Think they should move forward with Colt & install more of a running offense, starting with Trent, then adding OL help.

Why pass on Blackmon & reach for Cox? need immediate impact WR.

Would not complain with the Wright pick whatsoever but if Pittsburgh addresses their injured OL to help protect big Ben, Hightower could be the pick instead? Hence I would change their selection to Amini Silatolu.

In our Texan Talk Mock, picking for the Patriots I selected both Perry & Reyes, that makes me feel good

Has Texans selecting OLB Curry in 2nd to back-up Barwin & Reed. If Texans select Hightower in first that would probably change this pick to a WR.

Justin Blackmon is just so damn good. St. Louis would be a scary offense with Bradford throwing to both Blackmon and Lloyd, and then Jackson pounding from the ground.

Addition - Could you imagine if St. Louis added Blackmon at #6 and then trade with us to get Coby Fleener at #26 ( Houston gets 33rd and 96th picks). St. Louis would easily be the best offense in the NFC West.

:kubepalm: Maybe I should pay more attention! lol... all the more reason they ARE going to draft Blackmon!

I understand that people want to improve the WR position. I even love Kendall Wright but there are other positions that literally have no reliable depth and it's not like our passing game has sucked for the last few years. Hell in 2010 we were number one in yards. Last year we were doing well before Schaub went down.

I know there is no superstar other than Johnson but do you really think adding a rookie WR (other than Floyd or Blackman) is going to be more benificial to our team than adding depth on the OL. What about TE? We only have 2 on the roster and one of them will be 30 next year, has an injury history and a huge contract. The other one has had one catch in two years. We run a lot of 2 TE sets.

Not household names but I would take them and their limited snaps to date over any of the depth at nearly any other position.

I'm not trying to make it look like WR and OLB are perfect but neither position is as bad as what many many here are trying to make it out to be. There is no way we are going into this draft thinking we have to draft a WR and an OLB with our first two picks. Only message board drafters do that.

I think a lot of people here are going to be really disappointed after the draft.

I know 99% disagree, but I would take Fleener over Wright. But my #1 choice is Perry, then an ILB, then we can worry about OL depth and a WR.
