Get Pumped Up!!!!

So...we're down. We're mad. We're tired of losing. SO WHAT. It's Thursday! It's time to start getting fired up! I'm tired of the negative threads. I'm just as mad as most of you out there. But now is the time when our team needs us the most. So I'm starting a positive slogan for this week:

Get Pumped Up!
Get Pumped Up!
Get Pumped Up!

This should help:

1. We got our first Interception last week - off the #1 offense in the NFL and the #5 QB.
2. We cut our sacks to 3 last week - instead of the usual 6 & 7.
3. We've never lost a game sporting Battle Red Jerseys.
4. Our first Battle Red win was against the Carolina Panthers in 2003 - who went on to the Super Bowl that year losing to the Pats by 3.

That was an amazing moment.

My friend and I were sitting front row endzone for that game, due to another nice friend who did me a solid. My friend is in the pic, far left, blonde front row.

I like the hands on the hips look on the Jags player. :texflag:

There is something cool about seeing the entire stadium in Battle Red. At least last year, in the Texans cafeteria they have sort of a Battle Red shrine set up--and a large picture of the sea of red clad fans in Reliant.

Can't think of a better time to turn it around. Maybe we get a little love from the refs, make a some tackles, who knows what can happen? (Though given some of the calls made in previous Texans-Colts games, I think Manning maybe is dating a ref or two or has blackmail pictures or something).

BTW, they need to crank the music up--I went to the last Clemens pitched Astros game and they had some jamming music cranked. My seat was shaking. That's what I want to hear. Be loud and proud. And if you don't feel that way, fake it.

Anyone know of a website I can get a battle red jersey from for less than $80? I would love to wear it when I go to the Texans game when they go to Baltimore.

texan fans still living in the past. how's 05 going for ya? you know, the season where the texans were going to the playoffs.

If you're gonna threadcrap, go do it in the numerous other negative threads - there's a slew to choose from. This is a positive thread.

Some more reasons to get excited about Sunday (stolen from CNNSI):

Carr has made 13 October starts and thrown a TD in 12 of them.
He has a passer rating of 96.4 in October. ...

Davis totaled 353 yards from scrimmage in two games against Indianapolis last year. He has rushed for at least 98 yards and caught at least six passes in four career games against the Colts, and has seven TDs in those contests. ...

Despite the offense's problems, Houston has scored a TD in four of seven trips (57.1) into the red zone, fifth-best in the AFC.

Get Pumped UP!!!!!!!! :yahoo: :fans:

I dont care if we are 0-5. We are playing the Indianapoils Colts this Sunday, who are, as you know, 6-0. I'ts in Reliant, our house. Fans need to cheer us on like never before!

If we win, its the upset of the year in the NFL, and possibly the upset of the last two or three years. Nobody expects us to even come close, and hey, we mey very well not. But you never know, this could turn our season around.

Believe! With smart and physical football, and the lord on our side, we just could pull it off.

CHEER US ON, ESPICALLY IN YOUR GOING TO THE GAME. YELL LIKE NEVER BEFORE!!

I dig your positive team spirit, TxDavid. :thumbup It's a good vibe, and the forum could use a little more of it (and I understand why it doesn't at the moment).

Y'know, anything is possible, even those things highly improbable. Maybe our stars will be alligned. Maybe some of that never quit attitude of the Astros will infect the Texans players. Perhaps the first trip to the World Series will inspire something deep inside our team. Hey, it could happen! I doubt anyone on this team likes losing.

Mark V. (voice of the Texans) said it best on Tuesday: you always have hope, even when you think different. But you never give up hope that your team will win.

So the TDC will be there - LOUD AND PROUD! We'll be pumped up in the south side!

We will score in the first quarter this game. Battle Red will see to that!

Being a LSU fan:

GEAUX TEXANS !!!!!!!!!!!!

i dont mean to be pessimistic, but we got that INT on a ball thrown right at troy evans. the defense didnt force it, hasselbeck made a dumb throw. we lost 42-10....in the end, sacks given up dont mean anything. the only thing that matters is the final score, and they havent been pretty this year. i have alweays routed the texans on to victory, but lets face it, its hard to get excited about a team that underachieves more than any other team in the NFL

Yes, you do mean to be pessimistic. Go to another thread.

On that play Troy Evans (congrats to the new father) faked a blitz, making Hasselbum throw to that area and dropped back perfectly to make the pick. The defense of Troy Evans made that play. He duked'em.

Even more optimism:

Fewer boo birds in the house tomorrow since many have already bailed.

Anyone down in front want to hold my sign? That's almost a guaranteed front page on the Indy Star.

I'm on the very front row, I'd love to have your sign handy if need be. I'm on the front row of the Texans sideline at the 35 of the north endzone. I'm leaving for Houston now from Austin and I'll check on here if you are serious and want to let me take it into the game.

I'm always pumped up for a football game! I'll be wearing my battle red and doing my THANG to help my team, whatever that might be! :) I hope Aj is right and all the boobirds, fairweather fans, stay at home. We don't need them!!

We knew this game was gonna be a test of the battle red even before the season... it's just even more so now.

Nothing's changed on my side - still tailgating, still having a great time, will scream and WHOOOP it up till it appears the Texans are not returning the favor... or they win.

Go TEXANS - the fans are ready, are you?

Man I can't go to the game, but my wife and I will be at home as usual watching the game. I hope they are fired up man. Hope the fans can get them going.:fans: :texflag:

Glad to see the Texans Spirit out there!!!! GET Pumped UP!!!!

I'll be wandering the tailgate lot in Platinum & Blue. If ya see me scream!!!! I won't be hard to miss - I'll be painted BATTLE RED from head to toe.

:yahoo: Go TEXANS!!!!!! :yahoo: Get Pumped Up!!!! :yahoo:

Even if you can't go to the game , you TV fans are just as much of a Texan fan as anyone. Texans need all the yelling they can get, at home or at the stadium. Kudos to you and wifey for watching the game!!! :yahoo: :fans:

David,

Does being up at 4:30, stoked to the max, justify being "pumped up"!

Man I woke at 4:15 wide awake!!! Just excited about today. Got to load the truck and get ready for some tailgating!!!!!

BTW----If anyone is wondering around the RED LOT, we will be in the SW corner, look for Texan and LSU flag flying. Anyone is welcome to stop by for a BBQ chopped brisket sandwich.

How many games have been played in Red? I think those are the best Jersey's in the league. Should be a good game.
