Remember the first Texan game?

Man was I proud! We Beat the Cowboys!!

What a game! I have so many good memories of everyone being so happy for me and my NEW NFL team!

Now they are wondering what happened to us? So am I!

Dom Capers up front and center sir! Explain!

I want a Dom Capers press conference! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS 0-6 Disaster? Are you going to let this continue with out saying something?

I WANT ANSWERS... NOT EXCUSES!!

The Mighty Texan!!

C'mon fans we deserve an answer!

Don't hold your breath for an explanation. A real one, anyway.

Let me give you my impression Dom C. Capersly:

"Well, Mighty Texan, we were awfully proud of that game, too. It was an excellent beginning for our franchise. For what has happened, I think we just need to work on some things and try to turn this thing around. We have some fine players and we appreciate your comments."

It takes some real talent to speak in form letter, and that's all you will get from Charlie C or Dom C. That's also why we get to start on someone else's five year plan next year.

I am disgusted. This is anything but what I expected to be saying about this team.

If anyone reads this and thinks me a jerk, I am disgusted with myself, too. I really thought of myself as a positive person. I had what I thought were realistic expectations of a 9-7 or 10-6 year, but not THIS!

Want to know WHY that game was so good? Not because we won, though that was HUGE...

Our guys played with HEART.

I, for one, wouldn't be so mad if they at least showed some spirit out on the field.

One reason our guys played so well is because the fans gave them support. We were so loud it made the entire NFL sit up and take notice! There was NO WAY we were SUPPOSE to win that game, but we did!! It's not all the teams fault that they have been desimated with poor coaching, terrible judgement calls, BAD management, and season ending injuries! I, for one, will be there Sunday to support our team! Maybe, JUST MAYBE, seeing a sea of red and hearing a loud stadium will pump some life back into them! Why not give it a try! JMO!

We aren't 0-6...........yet.

Look at who we had on defense that first year and are no longer in Texans jerseys.

The old saying, "defense wins championships", is true. Defense also wins games. (There are lots of championship teams in NFL history that had mediocre offenses but excellent Ds)

That same first year Texans defense also won our game against the Steelers singlehandedly (an NFL record lowest offensive production in a winning effort!).

This year? *bleh* So much for Coach Capers' much touted "defensive genius brain". idonno:

ps. That first game against the Cowboys is still in my top two all-time sporting events to attend (the first being game 5 of the 2004 NLCS when Kent hit the game winning HR against the Cardinals).

Capers isn't going to show any emotion. He's not going to pull a Jim Fassell or anything like that. Would it help the team win games? I think so. The problem is that Capers is basically interviewing for his next job right now and he has to keep some kind of locker room cohesion.

The sad part is he's right in what he's saying. You can't change what your doing now. You got to stay the course. Major overhauls need to be done in the off-season.

Man yer Gooood! And unfortunatly right! If the Coach can't stand before the fans an explain he should be fired. Period! I used to defend him and his actions but NO MORE! Your letter makes me believe I am wasting my breath... But you know what? I ain't stoppin! I am going to ***** and complain till I hear him talk! Then the whole world would know why he hasn't said a thing because he is clueless and lost. I will call him out! Thank you for your disgust... I am also so disgusted the I think this is the LONGEST PreSeason EVER.

Then again maybe all this good fan concern will make them play better (or we might Booo) and upset the undefeated colts... ....

wake up Joe! time to go to work... one more minute honey...we are wearing Battle Red today, we are undefeated in Battle Red!! WAKE UP! AND QUIT DREAMING!! No, honey its NOT A DREAM ITS A NIGHTMARE!!!!

If all we have to hope for is battle red uniforms... we are in trouble!!! How about making a playbook that works!!

Thanks again
The Mighty Texan!!

No, not yet. But you don't really believe they are going to win this one, do you? I wish I could have faith in this team enough to think they would beat the Colts here. They come close twice here at home, but they were playing with heart then. They're just going through the motions now.

Oh believe me, we're 0-6 my friend. No doubt about that. The Colts beat us like a drum before they had a defense. Now? I'm just happy that we have the Astros.

In fact we're pretty much 0-7 too because why wait for that second Colts game to state the obvious?
