Moss unretires; will he find an NFL home before TO?

He should sign a 4 game contract with a team. Then another contract later in the season. Just to get that part over with faster.

Saints GM: Randy Moss works out with New Orleans, which may be in the market for a receiver

METAIRIE, La. — The New Orleans Saints held a workout on Tuesday with veteran receiver Randy Moss, who is trying to make a comeback after spending a year out of pro football.

General Manager Mickey Loomis confirmed the workout took place, but the club did not provide any details on how the 35-year-old Moss performed.

New Orleans may be in the market for a receiver this offseason because two of quarterback Drew Brees’ regular targets, Marques Colston and Robert Meachem, are entering free agency, and it remains to be seen whether the Saints can offer the type of contracts that both of them want.

Colston’s agent is Joel Segal, who also represents Moss.

“Randy had an outstanding workout, as expected,” Segal said. “He’s in phenomenal shape.”

both of those dudes are radioactive to teams at this point. Their production does not vastly outweigh the baggage that they will undoubtedly bring with them.

It also doesn't help them that this is the best FA class of WR's in a while & also that the draft is deep with WR talent...

my guess is that both will likely catch on with someone in the middle of the season due to injuries.

It's not surprising and this is precisely why Norg's statement above was funny when i 1st read it....The last guy to make a statement like norg's had this happen to him.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM10IfH8wkQ.

Moss has never suffered any major injury & never really took any hard hits in his career...he can still ball at a high level in this league. There's always 1 caveat with him though....It's when he wants to.

Maybe, maybe not...

I’ve re-confirmed that Moss indeed did not run a 40-yard dash, because there is at least one report that he did. And at least 100 of you have pointed via email and/or Twitter.

If Moss is willing to take a vet minimum deal, I would consider him for the Texans. I think our cap situation will tie our GM's hands, and we will re-sign Myers but won't have money to go after another WR like Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon or Robert Meachem. Moss at least gives us a chance at high potential for low cost, more so than other guys on the market for that cost.

lots of chatter that he is in great shape. If he runs well someone will give him a contract.

You may say I’m a dreamer but I’m not the only one
The OP's question is funny, who will catch on first.

Two guys who were pretty similar in their character and both had great production at times.

You've got TO, who seemed to calm down a bit and get on with the job but who's production fell.

Then you've got Moss, who's production never really fell off the cliff before he let himself go flying off on one again.

TO's situation looks to me like he's outta cash and desperate for a couple hundred G to put his retirement back on track.

Randy Moss on the other hand, I believe he could still come in and improve a lot of teams if he wanted to, but it isn't a risk I'd be willing to take with my team.
