My Gameplan For Indianapolis

We firstly have to go in knowing, we have chance to hang in their if we fight hard for 60 minutes. We need the home crowd to cheer, not boo, us on. This will benefit us greatly. Now, lets get down to the plan-

>Establish an efficent passing game, which completes passes for 5-8 yards per play. This will obviously help us drive the ball down the field, and allow for a balanced run game.

>Defensively, we should change our deffensive play right before Peyton Maning calls hut. (Disguise our defense until the last seconds, this may throw Manning off a little)

>Win the turnover/takeaway battle.

Also, it's Battle Red Day!

If we fight hard and do the things metioned above, we will have the best chance to stay with the colts.

My Gameplan:

Start drinking Hard - Liqour BEFORE beer this week. By Halftime the scores on the screen will be so blurry I wont even know who is winning.

Im going to this game from Austin. Me and one of my buds plan to drink heavily before we enter Reliant, as our other buds going with us are colts fans. So i want to be as incoherent as possible. haha

I say we just do what works for us against the colts.

I think we should do fake punts on every down.

Pendry/Capers gameplan. MAX PROTECT no matter how many defensive players are in the box.

Fangio/Capers gameplan. Try and tackle whoever has the ball on the other team.

Joe Gibbs does this and it works...you just need guys who can make it work....and the ability to coach it too.

We have a clueless coaching staff and players that don't buy into the garbage they are spewing anymore.

yeah but just saying "MAX PROTECT no matter how many the defensive players are in the box." doesn't mean it's not a sound way to go about protecting a QB and running an offense. If the box is full and in blitz range you keep players in to block.

It is if you don't pass for more than 5 to 10 yard chunks and run most of the time. It makes a really short field for the defense.

Dunta will be on harrison but we will need someone to hold Wayne. Otherwise he will eat us up yard for yard. Also the max protect would be a good idea but its not put up for every play like vinny said. Its a play by play action taken by our HB/te depending on the D-set

Vinny, I'm suprised at you. Do you really think we need some coaching, oh and a coach. I can't believe that. Better watch out, Capers might be reading this.....

Folks please learn this about the Texans, at least under this coaching staff, Dunta DOES NOT STICK ON THE #1 WR. He has a side of the field. Yes it is stupid and let's the other team move their best WR off him, but that is what they do.

Ibar you get on my nerves.

Ok Vinny, you want to criticize everyone else what would be your game plan? Remember, it has to work given the talent on this team. The gentleman was at least trying to say the norm ain't going to work against Indy and I agree with him on that.

Indy right now is a really tough team for us to play. I don't see us having any game against them unless its in the return game and if get lucky with some long passes. I don't think our running game has a chance unless suddenly Hollings is well and becomes an overnight sensation. Our defense has been nothing. Yet, with all of these negatives how do you get a team motivated to play in this kind of situation? This is the question the Texans are facing this week.

It would seem like we need to take it to the house everytime they kick off to us. All kiding aside though I think the only way we can beat INDY is if we somehow make Manning loose his cool. I believe that is the one and only hope.

lol, spilled my coffee again, damn you! :)

Fake punts every first, second and third down. Then voluntary safety on fourth :)

Sure, try looking at the game plan in the 2nd game last year and you will see a good game plan against Indy. Slightly better execution by Carr (no INT) and good calls by the refs (don't blow the whistle before the fumble is recovered) and the Texans win that game last year.

I don't see us having any game against them unless its in the return game and if get lucky with some long passes.

Holy madre de jesus, the return game is not a part of the offense or anything ANY intelligent fan calls a game plan. Yeah you always want to get better field position than the other guy, but nobody counts on it to produce point.

I don't think our running game has a chance unless suddenly Hollings is well and becomes an overnight sensation.

Just staggering--so now the game plan is to pray that the 4th string HB has a big day rather than say DD gets the 128 yds at 5.6 ypc and a TD plus 6 rec. for 73 yds that he got last year. Brilliant.

Offense-avoid negative plays and long third downs by:
Pass on first down 75% of the time first half (Get Gaffney and Armstrong most of the touches, throw a few deeper ones to Mathis and Bradford, forget the TE's because we don't have any, dump off to Davis or Wells when pressured. Make the safeties play the middle of the field by taking 2-3 shots on deep posts with Mathis or Bradford. Second half, change the mix on first down to include a screen play or two, and a QB draw or two. Keep a TE on the LT side to help block Freeney...make him go in vs. out and then roll Carr to his left against the grain vs. his normal bail to the right where everyone knows he wants to go.

Run 75% of the time on 2nd and 3rd down. Give them a big dose of DD and Wells between and outside the tackles and sprinkle in some designed Carr bootlegs in both directions (David can run to his left correct???) Challenge our OL to not only block but punish Colts defenders so that by Q4 they do not want to see another run come at them. Tell all our team not to worry about the score (the colts are going to score obviously), just punish the guy in front of you for 60 minutes.

86 the reverse, the fake reverse, and all passes lateral to line of scrimmage or behind it (the colts defense is too fast and we are too slow after the catch for all that stuff. especially since AJ is sidelined)...go right at them!

Defense- For God's sake, have DRob play Harrison headup wherever he lines up instead taking a side of the field!!! Double their #2 aggressively with Feggins under (play the ball not the man) and Coleman over to play the man. Then pray PBuc, Peek, Orr etc...can win a few battles with the TE and other receivers. Play Greenwood as a "spy" on E.James exclusively when he is in the game...and pound him as much as possible. Forget all that bend but don't brake stuff...rush like there is no tomorrow (news flash...for a lot of you guys there isn't) with everyone else playing pass on the majority of downs...make them beat us running the ball.

Finally, pray for new management.
