Courtland Finnegan is a 5 star free agent?
He's definitely a 28-year-old shutdown corner when he's at the top of his game. Even though he hasn't really been as dominating and pro bowl worthy since 2008 and 2009. I'd like to have him shutting down the other half of the field alongside Johnathan Joseph, but we have no cap space and Andre Johnson may use him as his personal punching bag, LOL. But man he'd be a huge upgrade over Kareem Jackson, that's for sure. I think he'll end up signing a big contract with the Detroit Lions. The thing I like about Finnegan is he's durable and is never injured. He's played in all 16 games in five of his six NFL seasons so far.

Cortland Finnegan, CB, Titans. Age: 28.

Cortland Finnegan is a really good cornerback unless he has to cover Andre Johnson. He's expected to reunite with Jeff Fisher in St. Louis.

That article has him going to the Rams. It would make some sense re-uniting with Fisher. But he'd be playing for a better team if he signed with the Lions or just stayed with the Titans. It may take the Rams two or three years just to turn things around.

These player ratings are much more realistic.

Matt Flynn, QB, Packers. Age: 27.
3.5 stars
When Matt Flynn threw for 480 yards in a Week 17 win over the Lions, he passed for more yardage than any Packer quarterback in a single game. There's a limited sample size, but the potential is clearly there. Flynn will be a starter somewhere next season. It's also worth noting that Charley Casserly, the man who spent early picks on David Carr and Dave Ragone, doesn't think too highly of Flynn. This could very well mean that Flynn has Pro Bowl potential.

lol

Don't you think the Texans have had enough Matt's here, but kidding aside Matt has that wow in him but he cost to much since a lot of teams need QB's

I would take Finnegan but don't think Gary would sign him nor would I blame him either. So I guess what I mean is great if he did sign here but not terrible if he does not.

I didnt post the list for its ratings , just for the list itself .... Didnt see one posted , and it seems this one will be updated as players sign.

If 6.8 million is after we sign are guys then we can sign Wallace, if you sign him to large deal like 5-6 years for 35-60mill then I think its not much on the cap maybe 1-3 million off so leave roughly 3.8 million is enough for draft picks and undrafted free agents.

So far the Franchise-tagged players are:

San Francisco 49ers - Dashon Goldson S (Non-Exclusive)[1]
Philadelphia Eagles - DeSean Jackson WR (Non-Exclusive) [2]
Oakland Raiders - Tyvon Branch SS (Exclusive) [3]
Atlanta Falcons - Brent Grimes CB [4]
Washington Redskins - Fred Davis TE [5]
Baltimore Ravens - Ray Rice RB [6]
Chicago Bears - Matt Forte RB [7]
Arizona Cardinals - Calais Campbell DE (Non-Exclusive) [8]
Cincinnati Bengals - Mike Nugent K [9]
Cleveland Browns - Phil Dawson K [10]
New Orleans Saints - Drew Brees QB (Exclusive) [11]

According to sources, #Vikings will not pay outstanding all-pro tackle Steve Hutchinson $7M due next year, ending 6-year run. #endtimes

Is this the All-Encompassing Free Agent Tracking thread or not....??

...or do I need to start one?

Okay so I'm not going to begin to make it look as if I have any idea who we can and cannot afford but I'm looking at some of the FA available and if at worse I know we can still upgrade from Jacoby. I'm one who really doesn't want him to go but I can't argue upgrading his position. I don't think we are going to be able to pull out the cash for an upgrade over KW but perhaps we can get a player that upgrades Jacoby with potential to upgrade KW.

Some of the players I see available are:

Early Doucet
Roscoe Parrish (kr/pr duties too)
Eddie Royal (WCO familiarity)
Gregg Camarillo (KW replica, I will always remember the heart attack he gave me when we almost lost to the Dolphins by him punching out that ball when Eugene Wilson was returning it.)

Ted Ginn (PR Duties)
Donnie Avery (Might come on the cheap)
Donte Stallworth (probably comeo on the cheap).

So take Marques Colston off the FA market, per @AdamSchefter; Colston signs 5-year deal with Saints #NFL32

Jason La Canfora ‏ @JasonLaCanfora

Former Chiefs CB Brandon Carr on his way to Dallas for a visit. Good chance he doesn't leave without a contract #freeagency

I expect Dallas to lock him up quickly, much like we did with Joseph. Finnegan is the big fish (like Asomugha) and Carr is going under the radar (like Joseph did). He fits the system well for them and they can basically pay him what they just saved by cutting Newman.

Reggie Wayne re-signing a three-year deal with Colts. Agreement reached.

He got open a bunch in STL. He will kill in NE.... if Brady says so. RT @NFLDraftInsider: WR Brandon Lloyd is a New England Patriot.

3 years 12 million dollars, or in other words, nearly the same amount we paid Jacoby Jones last year.

:roast:

Bills sign Mark Anderson for 4 years 27.5 Mil 8 Guaranteed. Too much?

I wish we could have kept him when he was here and I think he should have played more here and in NE...

He is dynamite coming off the edge as a pass rusher...

I think if he is getting a lot of tick on the opposite side of Mario he is going to have a really good year...

What do people think of the Guard from Arizona whose last name is Tutui from USC as a possible free agent pick up after the draft?

Doing my best not to forget about possible FAs that are still out there. Haven't heard anything from anyone about that Guard Tutui from AZ so I'm assuming he sucks?

Also what would about QB Dennis Dixon from Pittsburgh who is a FA. He's shown some flashes and has been productive in Pittsburgh and in a pro style offense when at Oregon.

If he would sign for relatively cheap I think he'd be a good pick up for training camp at least.

He's fairly young too. I think it would take QB off our draft board as well.

For some reason I was reading this as drafting a QB as well when I said training camp. But this makes so much more sense. I would actually like this signing.

And he's mobile too. I've always thought he'd bring a different game to the table like Vince but with more of a passing mentality and better team first attitude.

I assume you're talking about Deuce Lutui. He signed with the Seahawks a couple of weeks ago.

It's like you're in my head. I think almost the exact same thing about him.
