Colts Fan Checking In

Practice Squad
Now that the Rams game is officially in the bag, I'm checking in here with you all. I'm not here to talk smack or anything like that, I just want to talk football.

I think I am actually coming out of the game tonight very encouraged. The Rams took it right down to open the game, which is the first non-garbage time TD the Colts D have given up. Then the muffed kick, and the momentum was definitely in the Rams favor. Who missed te wide open assignment, I'll never know. But the D knuckled under, and held them to 3 until garbage time. That's encouraging. Last year, this game would have ben won 48-45, one way or the other. The Colts D is still holding to less than 10 points per game, and this was probably the most explosive O in the league that they played tonight. I'm sure Dungy will have a few things to work on. And I'm VERY encouraged with the O. The Rams were getting great pressure, and dropping so many into coverage. And the O still put up 45. Of course, when you're starting where the Colts O did due to the turnovers, it sure helps!

As far as the Texans go, I saw that they may let Carr go after this season. Maybe it's just me, but it sems like he throws fro his back too much to ave gotten a fair shake. I hate to say it, but it will probably be a long day for him come Sunday. But I will say that the Texans always play the Colts pretty tough at your place, and anything can happen. Remember, the Fins beat the Pats last year. Go figure.

Anyway, here's to a great game on Sunday, and NO INJURIES!

First off, our nancy's can in no way cause injury to your team, so take heart in that.

Our team will most likely see a few injuries, my best guess will be whoever we pick up off the streets this week to line up against Freeney.

Lastly, this will be the collegiate equivalent of USC vs. Temple, including the score........68-3 I predict, unless Dungy starts to feel sorry for this poor excuse of a supposed NFL team.

Expect to see the bags soon...........

Here's to a good game.

I came down to houston last year and saw the Texans play truely inspired against the colts. That inspiration looks to be gone, but every dog has it's day, so a competitive game wouldn't suprise me.

I can't help but think Freeney may have a big game though.

So, any insider information on schemes, etc.? I watched you guys on SNF, but was in and out so much I didn't get to see as much as I wanted. What should we look for/expect? Also, if anyone has any questions about our team this year, I'm sure one of us could shed some light...

Expect to see DC on the ground alot and the oline standing around looking at him,sad but true.

Well i heard thru the grapevine our unstopable offense is gona line up 5 wide and let david carr just pick the colts D All day he is the best ever. oh and also expect about about 50 different packages of exotic Defense blitzes i feel sorry for manning. he is gonna get it bad :texflag:

I expect to see just about every single game record being broken in this game. Rushing, passing, sacks, and TD's. :tv: Then we get to hear our awesome coach tell us that we are not executing, that our run game looks good, that the O line looks good, blah blah blah blah. Go Colts

Yes sir

Good luck with the game. I hope Peyton enjoys the Cover 2 umbrella we are going to throw at him on sunday. Should take him a quarter or two to get into the rythym of it. We are looking for our second turnover though.

We always play the Colts well every season but then again we always handle the titans also. So heres to Indianapolis killing us :ouch:

Its gone. You do have the dog part right though.

Give the points (whatever they are) and bet the house, wife, kids and dog. Next best thing to winning the lottery.

I think I'm still a fan? Just hard to be optimistic. :texflag:

Right now the line is about 14-16 points depending on what site you go to. Does anyone know of any trustworthy sites to actually put money on? Hopefully this is not agains forum rules or something.

You would think these guys would have some self R-E-S-P-E-C-T or Bob Mcnair being the Business Man that he is would give the fans a public apology for the bad product he has put on the field, don't get me wrong, but something is going on with this team. Laying down to get Capers the frienldy Coach fired perhaps??? First Overall pick here come the Texans!!!

The Houston Texans are now on the clock...

The Houston Texans select Joe Smith, Punter...

That's what Casserly would do anyway.

Colts 52 Texans -3

Yep Negative 3, and we'll be the first team in NFL history to get penalized for playing so poorly. I can see it now 50 YD penalty on Houston for...

The last game(if you could call it a game) was so bad I had to turn it off. Sorry, watching that one was like seeing your child get spanked by a stranger or something. We had better get the BEST PLAYER available come draft.(Period) You have to. Yeah, we need linemen, etc. How can you pass up Reggie Bush??? The guy is a Bad A** Can you say Priest Holmes II???
The Colts are going to have a record setting day come Sunday. 20 sacks.

Wow, what a great group of fans you all are over here! Sure is different on the NE web board. LOL

Looking forward to playing you on Sunday and hoping for a clean, injury free game!

I hope the game is injury free as well, good luck to you guys, but can you guys please try not to beat us by more than 100? :embarrass

Well, I honestly don't think it will be the blow out that everyone is expecting. I am just hoping our Colts don't count this as an automatic win. In the past when we have done that, we have lived to regret it. Besides, if we get too much of a lead, we will put good ole' Sorgi in. ;)

Look what you guys did to the Rams Monday night. At least they have an offense, we are last in the league in offense and defense. I don't think we could beat your practice squad right now.

Yeah, I was just trying to be nice. I don't think our Colts will lose this one, but you all have always played us hard there... so I think it will be an interesting game.

Life long Colts fan here. I look forward to a good game this weekend. I think the texans have the talent its just not comming together. I would have to look at replacing your coaching staff or something. (btw, we fired fangio once) Anyway dont feel bad, when I was growing up the colts were lucky to win 3 games. The oilers used to beat up on us BAD! :)

It will come around for you eventually. Heres to a good game.

Freeney is going to shatter our vitrified O-line like a bull in a glass shop. Wand had trouble stopping him last year, and I don't see Pitts doing much better. At least this isn't the NCAA, where the Colts would be running up the score to get a better positioning in the BCS polls...

Dont firget about mathis, the other DE...

the only way we will win is if the colts forfeit. Just show up and the texans will find a away to give you the game without youll standing on the field.

And thats down right scary.

It is scary... but comparable to why Stokley and Wayne did so well last year in numbers. Everyone was so busy double and triple teaming Harrison, it opened up everyone else. Its no different with Freeney and Mathis. Not taking anything away from Mathis, but making a point that most times everyone is so worried about Freeney, they forget we have another Mack truck on the other side. :-)

here's to a good game, sunday.

y'all got a couple studs at QB and RB... if you could get 'em some blockers.
i watched the seattle game last sunday night and was very impressed with Carr and Davis.

hopefully durin' the offseason they'll get teammates.

Thats funny. My sister owns a glass shop down in the caymen Islands, she told me Freeney is not invited there at all. Bur then she laughed. She adores Freeney. Anyway, I just hope for an injury free game on both sides. Your team sure had it's share of them. Good luck the rest of the year and hey, Beat the Jack-n-Jille Hags for us, will ya?

"There's just something about quarterbacks, All their life they've been considered the untouchables. So when I get back there, I want to dismantle him." - Dwight Freeney

"I like 99% of Peyton," Freeney said. "But he's a quarterback."

"I've met him numerous times," Carr said. "Me and Dwight go way back. We'll try to avoid any contact until after the game. I'll say 'Hi' to him after the game, but that's the only time I want to see him."

Good luck the rest of the year and hey, Beat the Jack-n-Jille Hags for us, will ya?

Hope you didnt hurt yourself thinking of that awesome smack.

That makes at least 3 people who know what vitrified means. Cool.
