Now that the Rams game is officially in the bag, I'm checking in here with you all. I'm not here to talk smack or anything like that, I just want to talk football.
I think I am actually coming out of the game tonight very encouraged. The Rams took it right down to open the game, which is the first non-garbage time TD the Colts D have given up. Then the muffed kick, and the momentum was definitely in the Rams favor. Who missed te wide open assignment, I'll never know. But the D knuckled under, and held them to 3 until garbage time. That's encouraging. Last year, this game would have ben won 48-45, one way or the other. The Colts D is still holding to less than 10 points per game, and this was probably the most explosive O in the league that they played tonight. I'm sure Dungy will have a few things to work on. And I'm VERY encouraged with the O. The Rams were getting great pressure, and dropping so many into coverage. And the O still put up 45. Of course, when you're starting where the Colts O did due to the turnovers, it sure helps!
As far as the Texans go, I saw that they may let Carr go after this season. Maybe it's just me, but it sems like he throws fro his back too much to ave gotten a fair shake. I hate to say it, but it will probably be a long day for him come Sunday. But I will say that the Texans always play the Colts pretty tough at your place, and anything can happen. Remember, the Fins beat the Pats last year. Go figure.
Anyway, here's to a great game on Sunday, and NO INJURIES!
