Rest of the Season prediction

Monday: Fan from other team comes and tells us his/her team is the best
Tuesday: We hear from coaches that we just need to hang in there
Wednesday: Some minor change in personell
Thursday: Fan from other team realizes that posting here is too depressing, disappears
Friday: Fans start to get a litlte excited, thinking "Maybe this week?"
Saturday: Hope is mildly restored with positive thinking
Sunday: Texans are blown out/outplayed/outcoached. Fan from other team apologizes and says we are classy, and that he/she hopes we will win because we have good potential

I pull my hair out, say a novina that we be delivered from this demon of a season, all week long even people that don't watch football come by my desk to remind me that my team is not doing very well, and I get fired for finally losing it and throwing my PC at the next person that says something about my team.

That's pretty much the rest of my season.

I have a heart attack and die after watching another beating....AT 21 YEARS OF AGE.

Well, my boss LOVES giving me crap about our misfortunes. I have found a way to retaliate. He is a Jets fan and I keep telling him how I can't wait till Edwards gets tired of the NY media and resigns. Then we can hire him. It drives him completely nuts!!!!!!!!!

at work, I get people coming by and asking "You still a Texans fan?"
When I reply wiht an affirmative, they laugh.
At least a few say something like "You just don't give up. Do you?"

It's a boost really.

Anyway. I had the privledge of watching my first live Texans game since the preseason.

I swear, sometimes it was almost like the texans d-line was ASKING the seahawks O-line to stay in front of them.

I guess I ask for it though when I pretty much have Texans stuff all over the place. But I hate it when a stranger comes up to me with that crap.

The way they're playing now I don't see a win on the schedule. In 2002 other teams knew we weren't going to be able to stay with them and they went into games against us expecting to win. That team took exception to anyone who lined up against them expecting an easy victory. This team just gives up the big plays on defense without a much of a fight.

The offense now is about as inept as the one we started with in 2002 so I don't think they've downshifted much. The D though is pathetic.

I live in Phoenix, AZ and I am getting crap from people at work who are CARDINALS fans!!!!!!!! I still remain loyal to the Texans and I will add more Texans stuff to my cubicle!!!

Wow crap from Cardinals fans...that is bad. I always thought Phoenix was way to nice a city to deserve the Cardinals. It is the city that taught me how to love a woman...and scold a child.

Here are my predictions for the rest of the season:

Indy kills us both times, Peyton runs up massive numbers and makes our secondary look like children. Carr goes down 5 times in the first game...7 in the second. We will all complain about the poor quality of the oline.

Cleveland edges us 21-17. We will all complain about the poor quality of the oline.

We get blow out by Jacksonville both times as payback for last year. We will all complain about the poor quality of the oline.

KC murders us 31-21. We will all complain about the poor quality of the oline.

We beat the Cards in a fluke. We will all complain about the poor quality of the oline.

The Rams pound us like the new guy in prison. We will all complain about the poor quality of the oline.

The Ravens beat us 13-10. It will be close, but we have alot more problems than they do. We will all complain about the poor quality of the oline.

The Titans will slash through us yet again. We will all complain about the poor quality of the oline.

San Fran will be close, but we will pull out a win so that all of us can talk about how our oline is starting to look better.

Hey that would be good.

I'll still support this team. Been thru it w/ the Rockets, Comets, Cowboys, SMU, my old high school, etc. when they were up and down. The Texans will be contenders eventually. As a fan I've just gotta beleive. It's part of being a fan.

This week I'll probably get asked why i'm wearing that Texans shirt, of which I'll let whoever know that I love this team and every team has their time. It's just not ours yet.
