Best Of 2012 Mock Drafts -

Hall of Fame
Instead of doing another 2012 Mock Draft I decided it would be funner to use a best of approach, taking best of mocks done in 2011. Just copy & paste original with two new picks & updates. For those who don't follow the draft on a regular basis, consider this your primer for Texans 2012 Draft Board -

First Round: Dwight Jones, North Carolina, WR 6040 225

Big target to help Andre & former teammate Tar Heel QB TJ Yates. Senior prospect with good combination of size/speed with #1 potential, should make excellent #2 option. Averages 93.3 yards per game, 11 TD's, 14.16 yards per catch, 1119 yards. The association & learning curve should be maximized between Yates & Jones having worked together already for three years. This was a deciding factor, all things being equal with other WR prospects with similar numbers, skill set & measureables. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yA1G_w2kfj0

NOTE: This was from week 13, Yates first NFL action, so far so good. Have to measure his impact more going forward, what better way than to bring in a former #1 target? Great size…NFL ready body…Gets off the line very well…Effective after the catch using his size and strength to over power smaller defenders…very physical route runner, he is no afraid to battle down the field or at the line

Second Round: Alameda Ta’amu, Washington, NT 6024 336

NFL two gap nose tackle. Size, strength, temperament. Only sure fire starting NT in this draft adds great interest around the league to 3-4 teams easily helping push his stock into the first round. Cody may fit in Wade Phillips system & I must admit he had done admirably so far but the middle of Texans run defense is still suspect, by having a true beast to disrupt blocking schemes, he would keep the LB’s clean, eliminating those frustrating medium length gains.

I realize his stock has slipped from 1st rd to 2nd/3rd but he still possess NFL body for position needed (NG) in a 3-4. Rated DT next highest positional need after WR so if Texans choose to address this need here he has to be in the mix. Played hurt most of 2011 that hurt his draft stock.

Third Round: Brandon Boykin, Georgia, CB/RET 5-10 183

Two-fold, need another cover corner to replace Allen & a true kick returner to help special teams. Second team All-SEC selection by the league coaches and Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist in 2011 after recording 48 tackles, including nine tackles for loss, three interceptions, nine pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. A threat in the return game as well, Boykin added 780 kickoff return yards and 88 punt return yards.
New Pick

Fourth Round: Chris Galippo, USC, ILB 6016 252

Cushing clone. Very sound fundamentals with elite quickness/recognition skills & strong. This would round out Texans ILB’s with a strong group for the long haul, Cushing, DeMeco, Sharpton & Galippo.

I say some pretty funny things sometimes, Cushing clone is one of them, how can you clone that beast? Other than that fact he does play inside linebacker for USC has the size & athletic ability to play on Sundays. Excellent depth pick, could develop over time into starter.

Fifth Round: Broderick Binns, Iowa, DE/OLB 6010 261

Like his upside in a 3-4 defense. Fits along with Jamison, better athlete than Nading. Leads Iowa in TFL 11.5, 5.5 sacks, 59 tackles, decent in coverage with 8 passes broken-up (shows intelligence, ability to read & good instincts) with one pick.

New Pick. I've been really wanting to include him despite passion to address OL but I think by adding him to this special group would only enhance his future status given Texans elite depth @ OLB even without Mario Williams.

Sixth Round: Grant Garner, Oklahoma State, OC/OG 6030 290

Myers has been both durable & steady. This is a developmental pick to groom behind him since every guy who tries to fill his back-up slot seems to get injured or cut. Texans are a little thin here so it’s a good idea to invest in a quality person who can someday be a starter.

2011 ALL-BIG 12 FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES). I'm going to get killed for waiting this long to select an OL, can't really believe it myself? Just how it flowed some really good players in every round to address every need. Also thought about adding OT prospect but didn't do that last year & adding a returner for me has become an absolute must (Boykin) who adds positional value as well.

Seventh Round: Jared Karstetter, Washington State, WR 6040 215

Texans gave up a 7th for Mason so this is backend heavy @ WR. The way the draft looks to fall Texans are out of position in both 1st & 2nd rounds to grab a legitimate difference maker so I think Rick Smith will effort to land a big time free agent & address WR need via this route. Basicly with this pick & Mason he's adding three camp bodies to compete with existing players. Of course there is no guarantee Karstetter is anything more that PS material but he is very smart (going to be a dentist) sure handed big WR who usess body well, above average blocker & effective red zone target. Very under rated & not well followed.

Looks like Texans don't have to give up a 7th rd. pick. Re-cap season - 60 receptions, 700 yards 11.67 yards per catch, 6 TD's 58.3 yards per game. Maybe forcing WR with first pick but adding another body here who can add much needed depth to WR position still not such a bad move.

ps: these are from my own mocks

Updated Mock with trade Back:

I like Wright in the first, but I think he is going to slip some simply because of his size. Wright is my guy, but I think Sanu and Alshon could go ahead of him pushing Wright somewhere to the top of the second. Either way I think Sanu, Alshon or Wright would be available there, so I'm going to trade out of the first completely.

I'll pick up a 2nd, a 4th and a 6th.

I'm trading ou of the 1st round and picking up

2) Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor (or insert best available WR)

Exactly the type of receiver we need and do not have. Would be an excellent slot guy that would kill teams when they try to blitz of the edge. Can also stretch the field...Is just an overall talented player.

2) Josh Chapman, NT, Bama

Allows Earl to play some Spot duty DE. Big guy, but moves well. Solid and hard to move.

3) Kevin Zeitler, OG, Wisc

I think he will be available here. I know a lot of people don't, but last year, if I'm not mistaken, only 4 gaurds went in the top three rounds. CBS sports currently has him ranked as the 5th best guard. IF he makes it to us here in the third, he'd be my guy...But really, even if I had to trade up a few spots to get him I'd make it happen.

4) Isaiah Pead, RB, Cincy

This guy is a beast. Plain and simple. Great speed, vision and toughness. He fits this system perfectly and is an excellent cutback runner. RB position has a lot of injuries and I'd let Ward walk or bring him back and compete to be the fourth RB on the roster.

4) George Iloka, FS Boise State

Upgrades the talent in the secondary. Big guy and runs well. I actually coached this guy and he played with my brother in little league. I could tell that he was going to be a good athlete, but he has gone on to do very well for himself. Has a lot of playing experience in college, played some WR in highschool...Good all around athlete and a very good kid from what I remember. Good parents as well. Went to kempner highschool in Sugarland.

5) Asa Jackson, CB, Cal Poly

Athletic Talented small school corner. Has played a lot of football. Not afraid of contact, willing tackler. Good ball skills.

6) Chris Gallipo, ILB, USC

I've mocked him before. I think he will be available here. Would be excellent depth at the ILB position and would provide good competition for guys to make the team. Good solid football player with good size and athleticism.

6) Ryan Miller, OG, Colarado State (6'8"...Can probably also play some tackle)

I've mocked this guy before too. I really like him as a run blocker. Despite his size he has good leverage and is very powerful. Comes from Colarado state so that's a plus too. He's 6'8" and could maybe play some tackle if needed.

7) Jeff Demps, RB, Florida

I'm a value guy and I think that all these guys are great value and address needs if they are available. Returner that can actually play some in offensive sets. Would battle to make the roster as a fourth RB.

Hey Rey, since you posted your most recent mock under my own I just thought how ironic respected posters are coming to grips with Dwight Jones under your mock. Good stuff, thanks for input always.

Now if only badboy/rmartin65 would submit opinions. :):):):):):)

So is this the place to throw out mock drafts? I'll post one just for kicks:

1st: WR - Alshon Jeffery - South Carolina 6-4 230 lbs
I think he makes it to us - Floyd and Wright picked ahead. Jeffery can immediately be our #2 and makes JJ expendable. He's a big dude, and makes it tough for CBs to defend him, especially on jump balls. He's even got a little AJ in him:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXBsz1bBfF0

If he's not available, I'd go with Sanu or Jones here.

2nd: OG/T - Levy Adcock - Oklahoma State 6-5 - 318
I like Levy's versatility. He played both LT and RT in college, and likely could be used inside as a guard. Can't make up my mind between drafting a guard or OT, so I'll take the guy who can be plugged in at either spot. Give him a year or two to develop behind some of our guys and he should be starting by 2014.

3rd: FS - Winston Guy Jr. - Kentucky - 6-1 210 lbs
He hasn't missed a game in three years, is fast enough for the NFL, and had a great year in 2011. He should compete with Quin for the starting job. We need more depth at safety, and with Barber likely leaving, there is a spot open.

4th: RB - Cyrus Grey - Texas A&M - 5-10 198 lbs
If Grey were here, he would be a steal. I would love to pick him up for RB depth and let Derrick Ward walk. Ward has been alright in spot duty this past year, but he's getting old and needs to be replaced with some cheap young blood.

5th: OLB - Cordarro Law - Southern Miss - 6-2 261 lbs
If we don't re-sign Mario, I would expect to draft an OLB. Even if we do, it's always good to have more LBs for depth and special teams. Law had a great year, 57 tackles, 7.5 sacks (one on Case), and 4 FF. He's somewhat under the radar, so this may be a great value at the end of the 5th if he makes it this far.

Law vs Nevada footage:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCqaK-HQMyI

6th: WR/KR/PR - Eric Page - Toledo 5-10 180 lbs
This guy tore it up during his three years at UT. He had 306 catches for 3,446 yards in his three seasons at Toledo, just 46 rec shy of Ryan Broyles record. He broke lots of MAC records and beat some of Lance Moore's school records. If he stayed for his senior year, he would certainly break some of the NCAA receiving records. I think he could be a slot guy for us and help with returning kicks.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnvQXzpGPng

7th: P - Kyle Martens - Rice
I'm sick of having tryouts for this position every year. Our past 7th rounders haven't done much in years, and the Texans continue to ignore both kicking positions. If we had another late pick I would take a PK as well just to fill the need for 4 years. Anyways, I don't know if Hartman will be ready next season after tearing an ACL, but I like getting a hometown kid who averaged 46 yards per kick and can pin teams inside the 20. NO MORE TURK! :)

Nice video of Kyle, seems like a good Kubiak kid:

ps: these are from my own mocks

First 4 rounds are epic. Last 3 inspire me to do some reading....no idea who those guys are. Nice mock!

1. Dwight Jones WR - I fell in love with this guy after researching TJ Yates when we picked him up last year. Most of Yates' clutch throws his final season at NC went to Jones, and Jones helped make Yates look like a solid quality QB. A bonus is that the system run at NC is similar to our offense so he should step in immediately and produce for us.

2. Derek Wolfe DE/DT - I was originally going to go interior lineman here, but after reading a few things on this kid and watching some tape, I decided to go for him here. Our DLine rotates on a frequent basis, and the more physically dominating beasts we have the better. I think he would come in and instantly be the third best DLineman we'd have and be the first one in on the rotation. Also insurance if Watt or Smith miss any time, and I believe Bulman is a FA this offseason and he might walk for more money.

3. Kevin Zietler OL, I also think he'll be available in the third, might even consider trading up for him. Not picking an interior lineman to replace one of our starters, but for depth and insurance. Right now I think Caldwell is our only solid backup for the interior positions.

4. Doug Martin RB/KR, Coach Joe would love him, He has experiance on kickoff coverage and likes to hit people. He can also be a threat in the Return game and keep D. Manning off of Kick Returns unless we really really need him. As a running back he possesses both the ability to shift his body to reduce contact as a runner(ala Foster) or can plow people over (like Tate), also has decent hands. It's currently unknown whether Ward will stay with us next season but having 4 RB's a good thing. If we selected Martin I'd expect Ward to be deactivated game days and Martin to see mostly special teams.

5-7 BPA, I haven't gone deep enough yet for picks 5-7, so I'll take the cheaters way out and say BPA. Its ok though, I do this every year and just research the guys the Texans take in these rounds anyway, unless we were seriously hurting at specific positions.

Here's my latest. No long drawn out explanations though, it's 4:00 am and I'm tired.

1. Dwight Jones-WR, self explanatory pick, the guys great.
2. Kevin Zeitler-OG, strong and quick fits our system perfectly, new RG or LG, also improves our depth making Caldwell and Brisiel depth players.
3. Sylvester Williams-NT, rotational depth with Cody, move Mitchell to DE depth.
4. Jerry Franklin-ILB, quality depth behind Demeco with much better size than Sharpton and cheaper than Dobbins.
5. Mitchell Schwartz-OT, quality OT depth with great size and 4yrs. starting experience at Cal.
6. Tauren Poole-RB, RB#3 after we let Ward walk, good size and decent speed, falls due to hamstring injury limiting his senior year productivity.
7. Sean Catthouse-SS, depth behind Quin to replace Keo and Barber with good size.

UDFA: Chad Diehl-FB, Kyle Martens-P
Opinions?

I'll give this a try. BTW, BL I love the 1st 5 picks.

1. Jones
2.Chapman
3.Washington
4. Boykins. Trade up if necessary, 2nd choice Iloka
5. Acho
6. Eric Page
7. Micheal Smith RB Utah St.

It's game day. GO TEXANS! Having said that, the best of 2012 mock drafts was a compilation of picks I had made over the last three or four months of 2011. Picks that still made sense, even though it seemed the first round pick changed every week due to Texans improving record, now first ever PLAYOFF WIN & HOPING FOR A SECOND IN A COUPLE HOURS FROM NOW. This will be my first actual Mock Draft of 2012, pre-senior bowl but I can base a couple late additions off the bowl game performances plus fact that now we know who is coming out so it's no longer limited to the Senior class. Without further ado because I want to watch some of the Texan pre-game (my predicition 23-22 TEXANS) so just remember these picks are based on Texans winning the Superbowl & having last pick in each round that is, until compensatory picks start kicking in.

First Round: Billy Winn, DE/DT Bose State, 6-3 300

Strong, physical & athletic could Wade Phillips believe he could become his future NT? Most would project him as a 5 tech DE for a 3-4 which without Mario (free agent) depth is a concern & the Ninja is getting older too. Pretty good value end of the first round, this guy is going to be a player in the league, I don't see any downside or bust potential he would be a win Winn.

Second Round: Marvin McNutt, WR, Iowa 6-2 215

Waited to select a WR late because I like several in this area, if Ryan Broyles is available here I would take him (he will recover fine from ACL). Also could take a look @ Joe Adams, BJ Cunningham, Jordan White, Juron Criner maybe even a Jeff Fuller is available? point is there will still be an excellent option with a much better value/grade end of second instead of end of first. McNutt is a leader on his team, he is polished, has excellent size & physical game to hold up over the middle in the NFL.

Third Round: Brandon Boykin, CB/RET, Georgia, 5-10 183

Texans need a return man & CB #2, Boykin could kill two birds with one stone. He had a great bowl game, like both his playmaking skills, speed & intensity to contest WR's man on man coverage. This should set the stage to replace Allen (free agent) & improve special teams.

Fourth Round: Shea McClellin, ILB/OLB, Bose State, 6-3 255

High motor, tenacious & versatile. Honey Badger. Just makes plays, similar work ethic to Cushing, not as athletic but makes up for it with effort. Would also be a monster on special teams. Solidifies Texan LB positions.

Fifth Round: Grant Garner, OC/OG, Oklahoma State, 6030 290

Moved him up because he fits Texan scheme & they need to shore up interior OL with quality depth & player who could someday start. Myers was drafted in 2005 6th rd. 200th overall. Very similar player with slightly higher draft grade. Would take Phillip Blake if available but expect him to be gone somewhere in the 4th rd.

Sixth Round: James Brown, OT/OG, Troy, 6-4 318

Natural RT, could kick inside, has very good feet for big man. Actually had him rated much higher earlier in season, still made 1st team Sun Belt conference, just under the radar type of prospect due to level of competition.

Seventh Round: Jared Karstetter, WR, Washington State, 6040 215

More depth to compete with Jeff Maehl & Lestar Jean next year in camp. Smart, good size, red-zone & blocking WR who fits what Kubiak demands of his WR's.

I like D.Jones .... those big WR's can make life miserable for DB's , especially in the redzone and this offense has had a problem converting those redzone trips into TD's. (The difference between beating the Aints in NO or not).

I prefer him to Baylors K.Wright .... who tho a bit faster is a full 6 inches shorter.

I would probably bump Martin to 2nd if you really wanted him, great young player. Texans would have to then trade up for Wolfe/Zietler combo even if that left Texans without anymore picks that would be a solid draft :)

Wright is more pro ready. Jones would have some advantage however if his former QB is pushing FO to take a look @ him.

Everywhere I've looked has Martin as a 4th round prospect. RBs have typically been going later then normal these latest drafts. Probably due to the high number of talented prospects at the position + more RB's by committee used by teams

Martin is worth a late 2nd plus he has return skills that would enable Texans to release Jacoby.

I really haven't seen him ranked higher than the 6th RB. I wouldn't try to get him before the 4th since we've got Foster and Tate, so if he's gone then we just go in another direction, Someone who can contributes on returns is now one of my needs heading into the draft. Can't quite pinpoint why I feel that way though, hmmmmm

I have Boykin as both returner & CB. He is a special return guy, gamebreaker & not in a negative way.

I like Boykins, but we have so many young CBs on this team that I think what we really need is just time for them all to develop under Vance. If we keep going young we'll never have veteran experiance at corner

In the first round. If we want a receiver to just replace JJ, we go with Kendall Wright, If we want someone who can take over for AJ one day, we go Ashlon Jeffrey, Dwight Jones, (insert other big body receiver with good speed)

Thats basically how I'm going to look at it.

Round 1- Notre Dame WR Michael Floyd, 6’3” 225 lbs
Round 2- Arizona ILB Vontaze Burfict, 6’3” 250 lbs
Round 3- Oklahoma WR Ryan Broyles, 5’11” 185 lbs
Round 4- Oregon CB Cliff Harris, 5’11” 165 lbs
Round 5- Virginia Tech OG Jaymes Brooks, 6’2” 308 lbs
Round 6- Gannon NT Randy Colling, 6’4” 320 lbs
Round 7- Michigan DE Ryan van Bergen, 6’6” 290 lbs or SMU DE Taylor Thompson, 6’6” 290 lbs

I don't think Kareem will ever have any ball skills & Jason Allen is a F/A

Because we are all hard wired to be nervous whenever we see number 12 or 25 on our tv screens.

I don't think KJ is a #1 corner, he's lacking the speed, but we can put him on opposing teams slowest "most reliable" WR's and play well. Then we just let him play out his contract and see what he wants money wise. If its too much let him walk, if its reasonable, we might end up keeping him

That is why I mocked Cliff Harris. First round talent, just has some behavior issues. Make him live with AJ or something, teach him how to be a pro. That is what good teams do.

You can't teach good behavior issues, usually it has to be a "shock" to get these guys to act right. It usually doesn't happen with the first team, and in many cases never happens at all. I completely understand the Texans policy on problem players after watching people like Pacman, Talib, Benson, and other hurt their team by making themselves unavailable because they refuse to give up the lifestyle they are used to

You know I love Cliff Harris but stupid, preventable, repeated off field issue will take him off Texan Big Board. Good to hear from you! Your thoughts on my mock from earlier today much appreciated.

What are Harris' transgressions? He is not beating girlfriends or getting in bar fights. He just needs to grow up, and being around professionals such as AJ, or Ryans, or Foster, can help him do just that. He has 1st round talent. He can return punts (18.8 average last year). He is worth a shot in the 4th.

If that's the case, I'd expect him gone around mid 2nd to early 3rd.

Looks like multiple driving violations and a pot possession. The sticking point will be the pot possession, although for the saftey of other horrible houston drivers, I'd rather not bring in a guy who likes hitting 120 mph on our highway system

Oregon could have really used him starting season against LSU in Dallas to Rose Bowl in Pasadena but he could not help himself on three occasions from driving with suspended liscence & exceeding the speed limit. Chip suspended him from the team hurting teammates along with his draft grade. Some team will overlook this however & take him because of football skills.

First Round: Billy Winn, DE/DT Bose State, 6-3 300

Second Round: Marvin McNutt, WR, Iowa 6-2 215

Third Round: Brandon Boykin, CB/RET, Georgia, 5-10 183

Fourth Round: Shea McClellin, ILB/OLB, Bose State, 6-3 255

Fifth Round: Grant Garner, OC/OG, Oklahoma State, 6030 290

Sixth Round: James Brown, OT/OG, Troy, 6-4 318

Seventh Round: Jared Karstetter, WR, Washington State, 6040 215

I really like the Winn pick. The guy may not be a "right now" guy in terms of PT, but he should help the rotation out, and become a starter in a year or two.

I like McNutt too. I think he is the definition of a number 2 receiver right now, and could possibly become a number one, although I am not 100% that he will progress that far. Still, good pick.

Boykin, solid pick. I like grabbing Harris, as I think he is a better athlete, but Boykin has a better character.

I dont know anything about your 4th, or your 5th. But I do like the positions.

Your last 2 picks are guys you have been high on all season. I like the 7th, but I would probably pass on the 6th. I dont know why, just a gut feeling.

All in all, nice mock. I cant find anything I really take issue with.

Don't you dare try to peg me as a KJ defender, That said, that was a great catch by Evans

Texans still need a #2 CB that is bottom line. Who knows which one will emerge? They are building a solid stable of db's taken Allen out there needs to be an upgrade, hence Boykin. But for now all he has to do is return punts, please!

Thanks!!!

I'll predict your going to really like Shea he can fill almost any defensive role.

I look forward to seeing how he does at the combine/pro day. You have a knack for finding some under the radar type guys who burst onto the scene just before the draft.

notice there are two Bose State defensive players in mock because both fill different roles, work well together besides solidifying one of the NFL's best defenses (how good does that sound?). here is a clip focusing on Shea McClellin - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RFVe8dxfok

Is it time to trade up to get a difference maker?

If Jefferies falls to 15 or below the Texans should trade up and get a playmaker, opposite AJ.

I think the only Wideout I trade up for is Blackmon ala Julio Jones and the Falcons, Sadly I think he'll be gone too soon for us to gather ammo to get him.

Maybe Jeffries in the early twenties though

It will be interesting to see how the Texans handle this off-season. The trade up for Julio really did not help the Falcons this year, but going foward WR is now a strength and they have to fill smaller holes here and there.

The Texans really have not invested in offensive skill positions high in the draft (tate a 2nd) during Smithiak. Do they try to fill depth or make a move like you are talking about?

Really hope the Texans move up and take Jeffries is he falls far enough. This team NEEDS another playmaking WR next to Andre.

This draft is to deep at WR to trade up for one. I don't mind the idea of trading up for a "difference maker" but not at WR. CB maybe since they are so hard to come by a good one, but not WR since there will be good ones available in the 3rd round.

Despite a hard fought playoff exit, these picks are still good value picks (Texans locked #26 in draft order). Texans could trade down, up or all around to get these players or something similar. I'm really proud how defense played, a major decision must be made in regards to extending Mario Williams but I choose to move on without his big contract, adding depth to the front 7. Winn is another 5 tech DE who has the attitude, size/strength to even kick inside to nose tackle in Wade Phillips system. He would create some inside pressure not seen this past year adding a new pass rushing dimension. Really high on secondary/returner combo, still need a cover 2 CB as well returner with sure hands & dynamic return skills. I like Boykin in 3rd rmartin65 like Harris in 4th so there are two possibilities right here. Several upgrades @ WR should be available in 2nd I like several of them, by waiting until the 2nd rd. Texans would not be reaching & still upgrading group with better value for need. Shea McClellin can also play multiple positions, He can back up ILB Cushing/DeMeco or rotate OLB with Brooks/Barwin. Hate to use the motor analogy but he runs full throttle on every play, excellent wrap up tackler, good sideline to sideline speed, takes great angles, instinctive & excellent work ethic. He would be the Texans version of the Honey Badger. The offensive line I just added some late round picks for depth purposes, both players have starting caliber talent & will have their day in the sun someday when they're ready & needed. Threw in a big, smart WR in the 7th as another camp body, his strength is around the goal line, very effective red zone target where field compresses, you need a big body to fight for position & good hands to secure the football.

Smart, good size, red-zone & blocking WR who fits what Kubiak demands of his WR's.[/QUOTE]

I'll give this a try. BTW, BL I love the 1st 5 picks.

1. Jones
2.Chapman
3.Washington
4. Boykins. Trade up if necessary, 2nd choice Iloka
5. Acho
6. Eric Page
7. Micheal Smith RB Utah St.

I like your top 5, not familiar with 6 & 7 but I like the late round RB depth. Good mock. I'd be happy.

Heres one with a Trade back picking up another 2nd and a 4th, I don't even care if we get screwed in the deal. There is just alot of second round talent I like that I would feel like reaching for in the 1st.

2ndA- Mohamad Sanu, Dwight Jones, Coby Fleener, Obviously going with an offensive playmaker with this pick.

2ndB- Kevin Zeitler, Derek Wolfe, Dwight Jones, Michael Brewster, Going with a big body or Dwight Jones if we ended up taking Fleener

3rd - Michael Brewster, Jared Crick, Josh Norman, Kendall Reyes, Jordan White, Ryan Miller, Doug Martin, Orson Charles, Trumaine Johnson
Jordan White will be the last WR I'd be "satisfied" with taken in the draft, unless we take one for returner potential.

4thA - Jordan White, Ryan Miller, Doug Martin, Orson Charles, Desmond Wynn, Kieth Tandy, Winston Guy, Trumain Johnson (He's the guy I have falling really late in the draft),
4thB - Desmond Wynn, Kieth Tandy, Winston Guy, Trumain Johnson, Keenan Robinson, Mychal Kendricks, Eddie Whitley, Vick Ballard

1ST
Jerel Worthy, DT, Michigan State
Height: 6-3. Weight: 305.

If we are going to play this style of aggressive defense we need more depth and quality added to our rotation. Worthy may even start in front of Cody. Think of a bigger Antonio Smith.

2ND
Kevin Zeitler, G, Wisconsin
Height: 6-4. Weight: 312.
This guy reminds me of Mike Brisiel only better at run blocking

3RD
Nick Toon, WR, Wisconsin
Height: 6-3. Weight: 217.
At least one of the tall fast WR's will fall to the 3rd round. I think its goingto be Toon.

4TH

Evan Rodriguez, TE, Temple
Height: 6-3. Weight: 250.
I know a TE? this guy can play FB or TE. He is a James Casey type player. Really good after the catch.

5TH
Jarrett Boykin, WR, Virginia Tech
Height: 6-2. Weight: 215.
I think this guy is highly under rated. He has huge hands and is really a strong blocker. At the very worst put him in the slot and watch him become a goto guy.

6TH
Joe Adams, WR, Arkansas
Height: 5-11. Weight: 190.
Bye Bye JJ! Will return kicks and punts and also can be used in the slot.

7TH

Terrance Ganaway, RB/FB, Baylor
Height: 6-0. Weight: 240.
Insurance for Ward Leaving. Heavy downhill runner.

Improve both sides in the trenches and get multiple weapons for offense.
