Ok time for Texans playoff scenarios...

I was thinking last night, yall might have smelled something burning, but IF the Texans beat the Ravens, and for some crazy reason, the Steelers beat Denver AND the PATS in their own house....

The Texans would host the AFC Championship.....right?

How F'ing crazy would that be?

If we beat the Ravens and EITHER the Steelers or Broncos beat the Patriots, we host the AFC Championship.

By the time of kickoff in Baltimore next week we will know if the AFC championship game could be played at Reliant as the Steelers/Broncos v Patriots game will be played on Saturday.

I think the Broncos theoretically could beat New England if they take care of the ball. The game they played v. the Patriots was pretty close save for some stupid turnovers.

I also think they can beat the banged-the-hell-up Steelers, but it's gonna be tough.

Let's say we handle the Ravens and the Steelers handle the Broncos and the Patriots.

And then we handle the Steelers.

We will have faced 3 NFC North teams in the playoffs. I wonder if any team has ever faced 3 teams from the same division before.

You mean AFC North. What's even crazier about that scenario is that they will all be franchises that once (or many times) ridiculed the Oilers as old AFC Central rivals.

But i don't think anyone expects the Broncos to have a chance in hell in Foxboro much less today at home.

Don't look now, Broncos are beating the Steelers at home....

and don't forget nobody is giving the Texans a chance in hell in Baltimore, that's why they play the game....

Broncos are up 14! How the h*ll!?!?!?! It would be awesome if the Texans get another playoff game at home.

Broncos would have to beat the Pats and the Texans would have to beat Baltimore...

Actually... I just came to realize if Texans go to the AFC championship, they'll be home against the Steelers or Broncos. So I'm actually rooting for Pitt to comeback, because they have a better shot against the Pats.

Let me see if I've got this right...

Houston v Baltimore --> Houston wins

Pittsburgh v Denver --> Denver wins

Denver v New England --> Denver wins

Then it'd be Denver v Houston...Right?

The reason that I ask is that I've been offered tickets by someone that has already secured them--if they manage to win out. And this is the scenario that I told him would have to happen in order to get back to Reliant. Just wanted to make sure I didn't misinform him.

So basically it's=-=-=-=-=->>>>>GO BRONCOS!!!!

Yep. It's the best possible scenario to play out.

I was posting the same thing over in the NFL forum, the Steelers-Broncos game day thread.

Chiefs, Bills, and Pats all found a way to contain and limit Tebow. We can too.

Just a NE loss and obviously a win by us. We as the 3 seed would host the AFC Championship game vs PIT or DEN. We would travel to NE for it.

If we beat Baltimore, we can beat any of the remaining teams. Denver would be ideal, but I'm not afraid of having to play Pitt or NE.

the way it looks denver will be going to NE, and after the first time Denver and New England played i'm thinking we would be going to NE for the AFC Championship

Well here we go. If the Denver offense can play like that again against the New England D, its ANYONE'S game.

Actually playing Denver here might be better than if we had gotten Pittsburgh. So much focus will be on Tebow our team can assume the underdog role again and steamroll them.

Gotta hope for Tebow magic to continue for another week.

It's a tough thing. Denver would be easier for us, but easier for New England. Steelers would be tougher for New England, but tougher for us.

All comes down to us having a "tougher" opponent at home (Steelers) or an "easier" opponent on the road (Pats)? Should it come down to that, obviously.

Way too far ahead to even consider. Just enjoy the ride.

It'll all take care of itself. Gotta come here to Baltimore and in the words of Al Davis, Just Win Baby!
