I think you quoted the wrong video.
I had a slight tear in my eye when Andre caught that ball. I don't think anyone other than him would have stuck with this team has and he has for 9 YEARS and finally gets a chance to play in the postseason with us and plays a HUGE role in it. It was special for myself as a fan and for all the fans and for him as well.

he did look good running, but every other aspect of his game looked rusty, still 5 catches for 90 yards and a TD. I sure am glad he's back !
That's an awful game for a rusty WR!!! I absolutely loved it and can't wait to see him and TJ with a little practice time and a playoff game behind them. Hell, the whole team had a case of the nerves today.

he had what 2-3 drops, that is what i mean by rusty. And him juggling wide open catches. Could of been nerves, regardless he is still a beast, and he has missed half the season.

my friends and i had this observation/question today while watching the game, but i think it deserves repeating here: since when did andre johnson become the 'sentimental old vet mascot type guy' that is a cliche of sports movies and pops up in real life every once in a while. he's only 30, and is still a dominating player when healthy. just because the texans have sucked for so long doesn't mean we have to put this tag on him.
it's not about him being the 'sentimental old vet mascot type guy'. he's going to be the texans first hall of famer in franchise history, he has busted his ass for this team and played at the highest level for a WR in this league for years. A great player like him deserves his shine and a chance to to play in the playoffs.

He deserves far more than that. He deserves for this team and organization to put this team in position to get him and this team a ring. I want to see A.J win a superbowl in a texans uniform. We have all the talent to do it, rather it is this season or next, we will get there.

sure, but everybody has this sentimental "win one for andre, he's worked so hard in this organization" mentality, which is usually always associated with the aging vet who's sticking it out for one last shot at the title, not your best player.

Its more about him sticking with the texans. He could of easily went somewhere else and made A LOT more money than we gave him and already won a few superbowls by now. But he choose to stay, so that makes it a little more about winning it for him.
