If you play/coach scared in this league and you're conservitive.....you'll lose. This guy is really a aggie through and through. I'm sick of it....LET THE KID RUN THE OFFENSE YOU MORON!, what do you have to lose!

He sat on a lead...every single time he was given one. He will never lead us to where we need to go, people need to finally figure that out.

This guy is a joke and a nancy boy. I'm sick of it. Everything can change with this team and somethings still never do.

Yup. Why couldn't Kubiak be like the Panthers coach last week when they had a lead but guess what? They didnt just sat on it. They extended it. I ****ing hate Kubiak. He's good sometimes but i guess he forgot that Yates isn't that bad for a rookie. **** KUBIAK

Gotta agree, you play to WIN THE GAME *****, quit being a scarred ***** little b!tch....ugh im so mad right now.....im seriously embarrassed and sad to be a Texan fan right now

Agree.

Does he really think he's going to win the Super Bowl if he gets a seven point lead and tries to nurse it for an entire four quarters?

Playing not to lose never wins.

This one was definitely poorly coached. Not going for the kill on third down before the FG to make it 16 was critical mistake.

injuries are taking thier toll, now the refs are to. be ashamed all u want, and if you are then dont watch the playoffs.

some of you guys sure are fair weather and wont stick up for the team when they get screwed. we got out played last week. this week we didnt play well but didnt get out played we just got f-d.

Foster put up yards, the d played well except for giving up some plays but the were on the field all game because of the refs.

This loss is on the refs, Wade being out for 2 games, injuries most particularly to Matt S and AJ.

Great, another thread about "hating on Kubiak." Give me a break.

Lol @ "nancy boy." Haven't heard that one in a while.

He's also a Potsie.

well i havent watched the game but i guess imma blame everybody the offensive

QB oline recivers and SPecial teams and Kubes 2 cause he apart of the offensive they all sucked :toropalm:

I won't fault Kubes for running it on 3rd late. Last 3rd he threw it, it was almost picked.

Some of the playcalling was bad, but damn this blows.

I concur. It's the same crap as last year.

Just as soon as I thought I could gain trust in Gary Kubiak - just when I thought a coach can grow within his game - like a dog returns to his vomit, Kubiak reverts, again, to his back-up quarterback mentality. He hamstrung Yates, all game (that's not to say we have great WRs that can get open all the time) and Kubes just didn't give his team the chance to win.

We knew coming in that this was an audition for the playoffs and that "The Kid" had to sling it around a little bit!

I would have felt much better if the Texans had went down swinging, but they clogged it up like a gallstone stuck in a defensive genius.

Thank you Kubiak, you piece of ****.

This ^^^

How the hell do you get three first downs via penalty inside the damned ten yardline???
Yet it's aaaaall Kubiak's fault

Every time we made a stop the refs turned it into a penalty...

yet... it's aaaaall Kubiak's fault.

why dont you go be a colts fan if they out played us.

Yea bc he speaks the truth. Watch the game! Kubes blew it and has been running this team like this for years. Playing not to lose can only get u so far because u rely silly on ur D.

I've always wanted Kubes gone except once he's been named as HC for the year or during the year as long as we are in it (well, you know).

Having said that it blows me away how people can forget JUST WHAT WAS LOST on those horrible calls. This week I might see if I can go back and show that.

Yeah, we had some self-inflicted problems, but you can figure out what would have happened if the game was called properly.

I blame the loss on the Ofense. Not the refs, not injuries, not the defense. And who coaches the Offense................waiting.............waiting..............KUBES!
At the same time I am and this thread is not, fire Kubes. Kube's offense lost this game. Plain and simple.

Kubes's offense sucked hind tit tonite.

:toropalm: youre a complete fail and now I realize why I said stupid things to be BANNED FROM THIS SITE FOR LIFE.....ive been a fan of this team since day one so don't talk to me like you bleed for this team MORE THAN ME....being embarrassed and sad of this team doesn't mean I won't support them or will turn my back on them...it means they let me down....

my kid can embarrass me but it doesnt mean i love him less....get a clue and quit acting like your king around here, youre a nobody and the passion you lack people like me make up for it....go grab some coffee and take a nap while the rest of us get the frustration out of our systems.....

Injuries have taken their toll, especially at qb. Even a caveman can figure that out.:kingkong:

You can keep hatin' on kubes when we ALL know that kube's offense is TJ at QB and AJ in sweats on the sidelines. Yep, it's kubes offense.

Being mad at your team doesn't make you less of a fan. It's a bad loss and it hurts. In fact I'd say the more you love your team the more it hurts and the more embarrassing it is.

I can't find much to complain about in this post. He doesn't trust Yates and that shouldn't surprise any of us. How long did it take him to trust Schaub? Does he? We're going nowhere like this.

blaming the refs is dumb....sure they didnt HELP and they piss you off, but we had 60 minutes to pound it down their throats and we didn't.....it should never have been that close to begin with

our defense is not getting worse over the last few weeks, they are getting tired

our offense has been sucking and TOP has flipped and our defense is out there way too long, same crap as last season.....until we start controlling the clock and running our NORMAL offense, we will continue to struggle, THAT IS WHY WE BLAME GARY....don't run a watered down offense because you were put in a situation with a rookie qb you did not expect to be in....play like normal and see what happens

Having AJ out is HUGE!

In fact ever since he went down again our offense has just been 'good enough'

If that was Schaub out there we win this game, hell we probably beat Carolina as well. Schaub can make his WRs look better. No he may not have run the ball in on Cincy, but the game prbly wouldnt have been close in the first place.

AJ will make the game so much easier for Yates. The first time Yates looked good half of it was because of Andre Johnson just being out there.

But the refs played a huge part in this.

It shouldn't have been close but it was. It was on our defense to make the stop, and they never even had a chance to do so. So yes, I do blame a large part of this game on the refs.

Actually, I think a good amount of people here not screaming "bloody murder" are quite the opposite of "fair weather fans".

The reason being we've witnessed the drastic change between the horrible and mediocre rosters we've thrown out on the field the last few years and the incredible team we've had the pleasure of seeing this season.

And because of what we've seen this year, we know we haven't seen that same great team in the last two games.

The real fans know the real Texans still haven't come back ever since we won the division.

3rd and 1. Got a RB averaging 6+ yards a carry. What do you do?

Kubiak: GOTTA PASS IT HERE TO KEEP THE DEFENSE ON THEIR TOES, OF COURSE!

This is where I am. We're just missing too many key pieces. In addition to what you pointed out about Schaub and A.J., Briesel's absence made the running game much less effective.

And the refs taking away what should have been legal plays from the defense on that last drive certainly didn't help.

How many passes downfield did we call????? Yeah, AJ is out.....he's been out a bunch this year.....that doesn't mean we don't throw it to the other guys to try an keep the defense honest. Even if we don't hit the passes, we have to run them a few times. How many times did Yates throw tonight...13 or 14? If we were scoring touchdowns instead of field goals maybe that would work....but this is way too conservative. We lost to a 1 - 13 team...that's an embarrassment!!!!!

The referees certainly sucked but we didn't even have to be in this position for it to matter.

If you don't want to put the play calling on Kubiak then who do you want to put it on????

Anyone who thinks the refs called a fair game, and shouldn't be blamed for this loss, watched a different game than I did!! It was pretty damn obvious we were screwed from the beginning. Someone made a lot of money tonight!

3rd and 1. Got a RB averaging 6+ yards a carry. What do you do?

Kubiak: GOTTA PASS IT HERE TO KEEP THE DEFENSE ON THEIR TOES, OF COURSE!

Where were you when he ran it on 4th & 1 with Foster on the game winning drive to beat the Falcons?

Where were you when we got stopped numerous time on 3rd & short in this season and previous, when our running game was doing well?

When was everyone when the world's intelligence was dropped? I was making a BLT.

If you don't want to put the play calling on Kubiak then who do you want to put it on????

Thing is though Jacoby is what he is. And Walter is not a deep threat. The best deep threat we have on this team without 'Dre is our TE OD. Going deep to JJ hardly ever works, so I can understand not going deep.

At least our defense didn't look bad.

It was still stupid to have Kareem on Wayne at any point in the game. I'm all for the whole Kareem has gotten better theory but there is no way that he nor Allen should have been defending Wayne as much as they did...especially on the last play.

Joseph at least jumps for that ball :toropalm:

Ever since Schaub and AJ went down, we're a team of defense and running the ball. Kubiak played to the team's strengths, that's all you can ask for.

Oh, my post seem to be deleted from before.

Over/under of how many hawt sloots kubiak banged in his life time as Elway back-up/A&M QB?

I say over 50... numbers seems to be high now and days with the players... but 50 seems bout right back then for a star.

Besides, college station is a filthy, filthy place... in a good way.. for men... that aren't foreveralone desk jockeys

It's possible you did what I have done on occasion. Once in a blue moon I hit "preview" instead of "submit" and I thought I posted. Hopefully that offers a possible explanation.

I agree. I won't go so far as blaming the coach, but when I go over the game with the guys I won't be spending a lot of time trying to "fix" the penalties.

We're not slinging the ball all over the field & I understand why some don't like that style of football. I don't like that style of football.

But I don't think it's on Gary. The routes were there, I think there were some open receivers, the kid didn't pull the trigger.

I think we'll get there by play-off time.

I'm of the opinion that there is no all or none.

It wasn't all the refs fault. Did they make some horsebleep calls? Yep. That hurt us and contributed to the outcome.

It wasn't all Kubiak's fault. Does he seem to play not to lose instead of playing to win? Yeah, but sometimes you have to trust that your defense that hasn't let the Colts into the endzone all game will hold.

It wasn't all the offense's fault. They didn't have consistency and it wasn't just the QB. O-line missed some blocks that contributed to 3 and long situations.

It wasn't all the defense's fault. They were on the field for a big chunk of the game for the 2nd time in 4 days. That's got to take a toll. When you make a big stop and then have to go back out there in 70 seconds because the offense has a 3 and out it's tough.

Injuries are taking a toll, but it still isn't an excuse. We shouldn't have been in a position where the outcome could be decided by the refs.

As for bandwagon fans, I don't think us being upset or suddenly coming back to earth warrants that label. I was hypnotized by the 7 game win streak and talked myself into thinking we could go to the Super Bowl. I don't think we can now and it's not because I've lost faith or no longer support the team. I want them to do it, but I am a realist. Losing pro bowl players takes a toll. This offense will struggle to score in the playoffs. If they can't control the clock the D is going to tire and give up something at the end. Every team they could potentially play in the first round has a strong D. It isn't going to be an easy road and it's going to be more difficult with a rookie at QB. I was caught up in the hype and I still think Yates can be something in the future, but asking him to win playoff games isn't fair to him.

It's possible you did what I have done on occasion. Once in a blue moon I hit "preview" instead of "submit" and I thought I posted. Hopefully that offers a possible explanation.

hah, thanks for the heads up. But I'm sure I posted it.

Anyways, retardation talks aside.. I'm actually not upside about this loss. The last one hurts more, just because I actually busted $500 on tickets to see the Texans play in person for the first time.. ever.

Hours after the game last week, I drove home thinking that not often does a team with a good record will actually translate that to success in the playoffs. Besides the Saints, I don't remember a superbowl team that didn't go into the Playoffs with a so-so record.

Hell, in allusion to the '06 Colts, they had a 4 game losing streak(?) going into the playoffs.. went through adversity, and coming together as a team when it matter lead them to become a superbowl champs.

I didn't want to go into the playoffs with a winning streak of 10 games.. but I think if we go into it with a 3 game win streak, we could end up like the Bengals a couple years back against the Jets.

I think the next game is going to count for alot, in terms of momentum heading into the playoffs. It's a coincidence that Wade and AJ is coming back next week to help our push into the playoffs... or maybe it's just God writing out the final act of our Cinderella story.

Yup. Why couldn't Kubiak be like the Panthers coach last week when they had a lead but guess what? They didnt just sat on it. They extended it. I ****ing hate Kubiak. He's good sometimes but i guess he forgot that Yates isn't that bad for a rookie. **** KUBIAK

During the time that Wade Phillips has been in the hospital, this team is 0-2 against teams that were a combined 4-30 and the Texans have played the same "lame duck, damn the bad luck, ahh shucks..we'll get'em next time" football.

Let's not kid ourselves here....Kubiak is NOT responsible for our success this season.

Cut the freaking crap, stop questioning people's "fandom status"..I've been here since day 1 and anybody who actually spends their time posting on a "MB" are a cut above your "fair weather" fan. :toropalm:

I'm sick of posters that play that card, because it makes absolutely no sense. It is possible to criticize your team without having your "fandom" called in question

Yates may still be squeemish from those two INTs he threw last week. The game may be getting to him mentally.

We got a week and a half for him to get over this tenativeness.

In a related matter, I did some checking, and when we've won, we usually run a lot more than we pass. And not just when we've won big but the close ones too. Both Pittsburgh and Atlanta were 7-pt wins but our pass to run ratio was 21 passes/35 runs to beat Pittsburgh and 25/44 to beat Atlanta. So the run first formula works. ...and would have worked tonight if not for those calls that gave first downs and kept stopping the clock when the Colts had no timeouts.

How many passes downfield did we call?????

You don't call passes downfield. Every pass play has multiple routes.

When you here the people on t.v. talk about a QB going through his progression, they mean that the QB goes through those options.

Before you pretend to know what you're talking about again, you should know the communication to the QB is turned when there is 10 seconds left on the clock, so Kubiak can't be telling Tj who to throw it to.

He throws it to the guy who is open.

I've always wanted Kubes gone except once he's been named as HC for the year or during the year as long as we are in it (well, you know).

Yeah, we had some self-inflicted problems, but you can figure out what would have happened if the game was called properly.

I never discredited what was lost due to those poor plays...was it a crappy called game? Hell yes it was, but guess what? If this was a aggressively called game by our head coach, those piss poor calls wouldn't of been the deciding factor. When you play close to the vest like we did, you take the chance to leave the outcome of the game in the hands of those shitty refs and that's what happened tonight.

It was still stupid to have Kareem on Wayne at any point in the game. I'm all for the whole Kareem has gotten better theory but there is no way that he nor Allen should have been defending Wayne as much as they did...especially on the last play.

Totally disagree. There were two passes thrown to Wayne while Kj was covering him. I think the 23 yard pass on the last drive & the TD pass from the 1..... 24 yards & a TD on Kj.

Most of the remainder was on Allen, everytime he turned the wrong way Wayne was gaining yards & receptions. There was one fade thrown on McCain that picked up 16 or so.

But Jjo was getting abused by Garcon. If you think Wayne is the better of the two, putting Jjo on Wayne doesn't sound like a good idea.

I wasn't calling you out with the Colts thing, that was for one person in particular, I admit I lost my temper because that one person came at me hard, but shame on me.

My point was not well made apparently. Of course you can criticize the team, but some of the posts were a little extreme. My opinion is you dont get talk out of both sides of your mouth week to week. When I say you, I mean fans in general, not you specifically. Not every fan in here does that, my post were for them. A lot of people have taken it that way.

What I'm most pissed about is the refs are just written off, and its OK, and it has to be overcome. Lots of good teams play down to thier competition, and we did that tonight. I just want some of the folks to admit the refs had a big impact tonight.

And yes i'm very critical of the refs I admit that!!!!! Lack of consistency drives me crazy though.
