I didn't know where to put this, but anyone visit this site? I don't think I have noticed it before

only reason I found this site is I was trying to find a funny Jacoby Jones fail picture and a tree route came up (seems they have recording of the media talk shows talking about it with callers.(link way down on the screen)

I'm guilty too. Fresh on the heels of NBA Free Agency, I had to be reminded of JJ Watt, I was wrong! Yes, Lamont was wrong. I remember calling Craig Shelton fuming and he was talking positive about JJ Watt but in the end felt I was being "over reaction fan" GUY. Although I was wrong about JJ Watt, I was not alone as that pick was the "butt of jokes" on Local Sports Talk Radio.

Unlike prior NFL Drafts, the last two drafts began on Friday however the local media was clearly not satisfied with the pick as it was expressed in various communication channels: Twitter, Facebook or "call ins". Everyone in Houston thought the JJ Watt pick was horrid and I will fight anyone who try to say different. It was not until Saturday when the Texans acquired Brooks Reed when the media and fans "exhaled". After Brooks Reed, everyone was like "hmmm maybe the Texans are on to something" and to be honest, it appeared as if Brooks Reed should have been the first pick but the truth of the matter is, he looked like Brian Matthews (Green bay Packers) so that was a story line the media would ride throughout the "Lockout" period..

Below is audio captured on Draft Night when the Texans, acquired JJ Watt. I think I can say wholeheartedly, we were all wrong. Laughing my ass off at the consensus being "Alabama's Nick Fairley" you know dude that got on the field halfway through the 2011 season. We all owe JJ Watt an apology for our behavior.

wow i didn't know the fans were mixed like that

I really get sick of people throwing Texans fans under the bus when it comes to the JJ Watt draft selection. I think the consensus on this board is that we all thought it was a pretty solid pick. I never once doubted the guy. I remember watching him in the Rose Bowl and saw him all over the field. I, for one, loved the pick. I just think that everyone was up in the air with moving Mario to OLB. Maybe it's JMO...

Agreed. It was another pick I wasn't extremely thrilled about, but I saw him dominate in the bowl game, so I certainly wasn't upset. I think the thing is that we are all eager for the Texans to draft a high profile position 1st for a change since they haven't since Andre.
