Tebow vs. Chargers: The final 5 minutes

GP

Go Texans!
1. Running play by RB, no gain.

2. Run by Tebow, loss of a yard.

3. 3rd and 11...a 39-yard BOMB to Erick Decker!

LMAO.

Wow.

Broncos go from their own 25 to the Chargers 36.

Brief stoppage to review the catch by Decker, ref confirms it was a catch.

1. 23-yard pass to his TE.

1. 1st and 10 at the Chargers 12, 2:40 left to play. McGahee gets a few yards up the middle.

2. 2nd and 8 at the Chargers 10, 2:00 warning.

Man, this is funny. Tebow's confidence late in games, coupled with defenses who fear the guy's past history, is creating so much momentum for the Broncos.

2. 2nd and 8, Tebow rolls out to his left and fires a bad pass to the ground.

3. 3rd and 8....almost got sacked and somehow gets 3 yards out of it.

Broncos will try to tie it with a FG and maybe push it into overtime.

FG is good, tied up at 13 apiece. 1:34 left to play in the game.

Did the CBS camera crew just show the kicker, Novak, taking a piss on the sidelines?

I tried to find that part of the game, but couldn't find it.

Was it right before the Chargers' last possession of the 4th quarter?

Went back and found it. Yep, he had a fellow player holding a towel to shield the crowd's eyes...and he kneels down, fishing out his hootus, and then he peed into a cup that was on the ground.

Wow.

Way to go CBS camera man. You're a Real Man of Genius.

Chargers FG is blocked...but John Fox called a Time Out, screwing his Broncos team. Screwing Tebow Nation! LOL.

Chargers get another chance.

Barely misses the second attempt. Now the Broncos get great field position.

The kicker pisses away the extra attempt. LOL.

Hang on, we gotta think about this...

Broncos FG kicker, Prater, just took a dump on the sideline. Apparently, he's trying to upstage the Chargers FG kicker who had taken a piss on the sideline back in the last minutes of the 4th quarter.

Broncos win.

I have a feeling that John Fox, after just watching his team rattle off FOUR STRAIGHT WINS, will warm to Tebow now.

I mean, this is pretty amazing. I'm not a Tebow zealot or anything, it's just fun to watch the haters get their Wheaties pissed on.

Tebow haters come in a lot of different flavors. Some of them don't like his rah-rah stuff. Some of them don't like his faith. Some of them just think the guy has little talent that translates to success as an NFL QB and they don't want to be proven wrong.

Ultimately the only statistic that matters is the W, though.

We have Sunday Ticket...and the Broncos are just one of the most fun teams to watch right now. Good or bad, Tebow is at least doing something interesting most every drive. (And Von Miller? Beastly.)

So thats one reason to pull for him.

And it is kinda funny watching Tebow haters squirm, cause the dude just keeps winning.

He was dead on in what he told Shannon this morning. He is there to win games, however he has to.

I wish I had saw the game. I saw the last few minutes of OT & I saw the highlights. Tebow looked pretty good.

Not QB good, but good enough for his team to win. I understand the arguments, heck I probably made half of them.

But the point is that this is a team game & the "traditional" QB on the other side of the field might have looked better, more like a QB, but it didn't do him, or his team, any good.

The Broncos won because Novak missed two field goals....... yadda, yadda, yadda....

It's a team sport. Tebow was on the winning team.

Believe that!!!!

I think that's why there's a section of people that are now actively rooting for the guy.

He's the anti-Superstar Playmaker. In sports leagues, we're accustomed to saying that a team is only as strong as it's beastly playmaker. The playmaker is a phenom who can will his team to win.

It's funny that Tebow has done this as well, and continues to do it, but he does it in ways that LOOK ugly--to a degree--and he continues to be a little "Aww, shucks!" about it. That's off-putting for people who want a Dwayne Wade or Albert Pujols type persona who is tough, cocky, and presumed to be elite above all others.

Tebow is a strange mix that seems to baffle a lot of people, to say the least!

Was that a video of Novac peeing?

Did the CBS camera crew just show the kicker, Novak, taking a piss on the sidelines?

CBS even had a graphic up of his distance....

... that's some impressive range.

I have trouble hitting the bowl from 2 feet much less a cup from 52 yards.

The interesting thing about that bomb to Decker is that the Chargers didn't even really rush him that hard. It was like they were just content to contain him in the pocket, daring him to beat them with his arm, giving him all kinds of time to throw. They underestimated his ability to make a play downfield.
