The most compelling stat.

powda

The bridge between stupid and useless is short.
In 4 games we’ve had a grand total of 4 last offensive plays. I mean that literally. Last offensive drive-last play in an already lost game. What happened? How do the players perform? I read something earlier that blew my mind. So what stat is it you ask?

Turnovers? Nope.

Qb rating? Nope.

Pissed fan total? Almost there...

One stat right now demonstrates the heart of this team more then any other ive seen. And it’s shocking...or at least to me.

In the last 3 games David Carr has been sacked on the last play of the game 3 times.

These coaches have no clue. These players have no backbone, no nerve, and no self-respect. This team has clearly given up on the coaches and the season.

It kind of sums up the season, 'eh? Sort of like the exclamation point on "we suck!"

It's almost surreal...how quickly the past three seasons merge into nothingness as we plod our way into an 0-4 season, with little hope in the near sight for a win.

Some stats just tell the story. Along with the one above, the lack of any defensive turnovers in four games....27 sacks in four games....0-13 yesterday on third down conversions...pathetic individual stats too numerous to mention....aye yi yi

Well, nobody said being a fan wouldn't have it's share of lumps.

Allong with 3 sacks on the last plays of the game, Giving up 27 sacks in 4 games is pretty bad too. If we keep this up, Carr will be sacked 108 times. NOT GOOD!

I just want every body to remember back when the astros were 15-30. Did you think they would be were they are know. That being said. I dont see the Texans winning more than 5 games.

Good point about the Astros, but they are a different beast. And even when they were 15 under .500, they had still won a game.

I'm not giving up on the team, by any measure. I'm with them through thick and thin -good and bad.

I'm just done believing that our current HC will be the man to lead us to the promised land.

I don't know early in the season the 'stros either had pitching and no hitting or hitting with no pitching.. Texans so far have no defense and no offense.. I'd think the same thing if we would one day lose a game 28-29 and then the next 3-0 .. but we are getting smashed..

Bubba, that was and is my alltime favorite movie. Val Kilmer should have gotten an oscar with his Doc Holiday role! His cup spinning in the gun slingers face was a classic.

And the Titans were supposed to be our 'easy' game after sweeping them last year.

The Chargers and Colts are not games to look forward to...I'll watch...but it'll hurt.

I don't drink, but those might make good occassions to start! ;)

And more importantly they had something to hang their hat on. No matter what, at least 3 out of 5 days they would be in a game becasue of pitching. We have no such thing, all we can count on is not having anything to count on (and chad stanley).

:texflag: Well what have we learned from all this . Lets see

1. drafting is complicated no matter how many scouts you have

2. don't trust other teams doctors

3 don't hire a coach who's been fired for a team going south .

4 don't get cute by trading to many draft choices

5 don't draft a QB before you have a partial OL

And the Astros had a 3 headed monster on the mound, a lights out closer, and Berkman returning to the lineup. The Texans can't keep Carr on his feet, with no hope of that changing, they can't get the opposing QB off his feet, with no hope of that changing, and PBurnt and Faggins getting torched with no hope of that changing. The Astros always had a chance with the big 3. I don't know what the Texans have.

I predicted an 8-8 finish -- until I saw the schedule. Then I peeled it back to five -- even before the implosion. This is a very, very tough sked this year -- especially seeing that we have six games against divisional opponents who are very tough this time around. And it doesn't ease up until near the end of the season.

This is worse than a made for TV movie although I would not mind seeing a Replacements type scenario, at least I would be entertained. Hell I may even be up for a Goldie Hawn or Cameron Diaz to take over for these clowns on the staff and in the office.

As far as the most compelling stat? That I have sat through so many BS games. The hits that I have been taking by being a fan may cause more mental anguish on me than on the hits Desensitized David Carr takes on a regular basis.
