This says it all...

"We've got to cut this (stuff) out," Robinson said. "We've got to change this. You've got to make plays in this game. It's on us now. We don't need any other changes.

"Right now, it looks like we're giving up. It's like, 'Oh, well. We're down. That's it. Game over.' "

Robinson seems to be the only life the Texans have. I love this guy and hopes he remains a Texan for a long... long time.

This is a great article by Lopez...http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/fb/texansfront/3389307

My respect for Robinson grows more and more each day. If they can turn this mess of a season around, it will be because of guys like him who leave it all on the field every week.

I could not agree more. Possably the best player on the team? Can he go both ways?

I knew we were going to lose the second I saw the offense and defense take the field. Except for two players from each unit, the team just kind of walked out onto the field and already looked asleep. The two players that were bouncing around and trying to get their team ready were Domanick Davis, and Dunta Robinson. The only two who can say they were playing in the game.

There are more losers than winners on this team. This team is playing with no heart. Our coach does not have the ability to determine who the losers are because his goals and philosophy breads losers. A new coaching staff will get this team with a few new players headed in the right direction. Too bad we are saying wait until next year this early in the season.

It's bad playcalling and the players know it just as much as we do. They are being asked to execute plays that defy football logic.

D.Rob is, without a doubt, an awesome player. Hope we can keep him in the long run!

As I have stated in other posts I share your concern. Our best players will find a way to force a trade out of here if things don't improve quickly.

Dunta has the fire we need. He has it. Our LB's need that fire.

Here's another point to make. 0-13 on third down conversions

I read that in the Chronic and almost puked. I didn't realize that 6 were less than 5 yards though. Good thing I got my stomach under control.

I agree, he is one of the few players on the team who deserves to be out there. I am sure we will hear the ole "sick Dog" comments from Dom the rest of the week. To me if we are using dog analogies its more like this:

Year 1 - New Puppy - Cant do anything wrong, still in the training process. May crap on the floor alot but you understand

Year 2 - Puppy learning new things, still craps on the floor a bit but also does things to impress you as well, shows signs of learning

Year 3 - Puppy is growing, closer to full grown, Full of energy all the time. Always puts everything into what it is doing, Looking like a good dog in the making

Year 4 - In thinking about the future the owners Neuter the puppy to prevent other puppys. Puppy loses zeal for life. Puppy lives to eat, crap and sleep. Sits on the couch for the next 9 years.

Puppy = Houston Texans

I think another quote should be added here from David Carr. I started another thread calling for him to be benched. The leader of our offense states that he has no confidence in the last paragraph in this article.

"Having (Johnson) out there gives us a chance of at least being able to throw the ball up," Carr said. "When he's not out there, it's hard to just throw the ball down the field and hope that they come down with it. Until we get some more work with the guys who are out there right now and get my confidence up in them where I can do that, then it's hard to just lob it out there."

4th and 1, 6 mins left, down by 18, and Capers punts.

I stated this in another post. That dumbfounded me that we were not in 4 down situation., we punted.

Didn't you get the memo? It's about field position.

I'm not serious.

I don't know if anyone noticed. But Robinson did not give up a single completion yesterday against the Titans on the guy he was covering.

Dunta and DD were basically a two-man team out there.

They have something that can't be taught or coached.

DD has ALWAYS been a guy who grinds out even one more inch when he shouldn't get it. Twisting, turning, diving, powering with his legs, leaping, stiff-arming, running through face-mask holding, and just acting like someone who is in a whole other world. The guy is proving he was worth his money we paid him.

Dunta is a guy that is eerily similar. Going for the knock-out punch on tackles, ripping at the WR's arms, shoving them around at the end of the play, and just knowing where to be at all times.

Carr is getting on my nerves. He's whining, pouting, and placing blame on "not having big AJ out there to grab those miracle throws he tosses up," is just sickening. Makes me want to puke. I just lost all respect for him after reading those comments that Carr made, according to one of the other threads. He did that same blame-game stuff after the Tampa Bay preseason game, and I got RIPPED by most of the other posters who posted replies to my thread for calling him on the carpet about it.

In fact, I'm bumping that preseason thread and adding those new comments he made this past Sunday to show what a loser he is becoming, IMO.
