A Call for change... Money talks... BS walks

The tickets are sold and parking passes paid for. The only way to force some changes is to hit Mr. McNair in the pocket book. He's a billionaire, he can afford it, but a message has to be sent.

The best way to do this is by boycotting concessions, especially beer. I realize that making thru a Texans game sober is a tough proposition, but it is the only way to voice our displeasure with the direction of this organization. I would estimate that concession sales are probably around $1 million or so each game (would love to see exact figures), so even if people buy 1 less beer than they usually do it would make a difference.

Already hitting him when the fans start leaving before half time...

Even though were already starting to experience a lot of "no-shows" at Reliant, I'm under the impression that all of our home games this year are sold out, which I believe would eliminate the threat of local TV black out for the 2005 season ? But selling 2006 season tickets and filling the stands next year
is something that probably became more prominent in McNair's thoughts since
yesterdays debacle. McNair is gonna have to score big this offseason with his
choice of a new HC to hope to recapture local fan interest and pocketbooks.

McNair, you've got some angry customers here. I do hope that some big plans are in the works for next season because it seems like most on this board have already charged this season as a loss.

Just don't show up. Mail your tickets back to the texans and ask for a refund. He will react to empty seats as this will indicate that people are gone and may not come back. I wander how may people will give up the psl's by not renewing season tickets next year?

Go to the games. Drink beer and cheer loud. By half time you'll be ready to leave. Watching on TV yesterday it seemed by the 3rd quarter there were maybe 1000 people left in reliant. MnNair was probablly drinking all the profits up himself.

I was there yesterday and like a fool stayed then entire game. More because of the Astros updates than the game itself. Anyway, it took me longer to walk to my car than to get out of the parking lot if that tells you how many people were left in the stadium by that time. Every tailgater i past on the way out was watching or listening to the Astros, not even concerned with the final score of the Texans game.

It's sad when the stadium announcer is reminding people of our history of comeback victories, the biggest of which was against the the Titans. I can only assume he was trying to convince the team as much as the fan that a comeback was still possible. Unfortunately, it didn't work on either group.

I love having a NFL team in Houston, but it tears me up to see them play to poorly. Especially when they have to talent play much better than they have been and to beat a team like the titans.

When I went to the game yesterday, I bought only half what I normally buy, because I was thinking along the same lines. If there's any kind of market for individual game tickets (by fans of the visiting teams), I may sell those also. Why waste my time watching such garbage?

McNairs response when asked if Cass and Capers should be worried about their jobs:

"I don't think that would improve anything.
I'm committed to winning and they are too. I'm part of this team and I take responsibility. I don't point fingers, and I don't want anyone else to point fingers either".

Hate to tell you this Bob, but your teams fans are already pointing fingers.

This doesn't sound to good to me. Sounds like we are doomed to more of the same disappointments.

Wait a minute.....Is this the dreaded "vote of confidence" we all have heard about. Texan fans can only hope so.
