It's Not Over Quite Yet

Okay, so we dropped our first four. Big Deal! Thats why the NFL schedule consists of 16 games. We still have alot to accomplish this season, and it would be great to start this upcoming Sunday Night on ESPN in Seattle.

We need to get more blocks from the O-Line, or do more screen passes to prevent the blitz

Force turnovers on D, and get some sacks. Thus far, our D has almost been getting the pic, but they drop the ball, or the fumble, but the ball rolls out of bounce. This tide will begin to turn.

As far as special teams, we have a superve Kick Returner in the speedy Jerome Mathis. A good kicker in Kris Brown, and a descent punter in Chad Stanley.

I'm certain that we can, and will turn it around the best we can with the things listed above, great fans, and a little luck. I'm the most positive fan you'll encounter, (look at my other few posts), but only because i BELIEVE IN THIS TEAM- you should to! There's to much negative talk in the boards about this team lately. Maybe if we were more positive, positive things would happen more often.

This is just a bad slump, i belive things can, and eventually win improve!!!!

For people who unrealistically expected this team to compete for a playoff position this year -- yes, it is over.

We will need more than the force to turn this around young Luke. I am not sure our Wookies are playing up to thier expectations either. :tomato:

a) How do you propose we get more blocks out of the O-line?

b) It wasn't just blitzing that was hurting us - their 3 and 4 man rushes were too.

...just curious-how many games do we need to win to come out of this slump?

The losses are not really what has everyone so up in arms - it's the total lack of hope. This team has shown us nothing to indicate that they will ever win a game again. Our only hope is that our opponent somehow has a worse day than we do.

No offense, but you haven't said anything in this post that the coaches/staff havn't said in interviews since our second preseason loss and they havne't turned it around yet. I agree all isn't lost yet, but they need more than rhetoric that the front office doesn't even believe. It's time for change, sweeping, drastic, and meaningfull.

I could handle 0-4 if they were close games or we were playing better, but week one we get whooped by the Bills who have since then benched Losman who we made look like a Pro Bowler, then yesterday we get blown out by the stinkin' tacks...

Break the season into 4 pieces.

we are 0/4 in the first section.

We would have to go 3/4, 3/4, 3/4 in the remaining sections.

That gives you a little hope. But at the same time, I cant see my Texans taking 3 of the 4 games each quarter.

This wasn't the assessment last week. One week it's, "I love you with all my heart." The next week: "I divorce you, I divorce you!" Gimme a break. Most people were saying the exact opposite last week.
