Nice post. Welcome to the boards. I think most of us are happy we drafted Harris and a lot of us are wondering why he isn't seeing the field. At this stage, I'll just take the coach's word for it and understand that he's essentially being red-shirted for his rookie year.

Welcome to the boards. Harris will be fine. This coming off season, he will be working with AJ for sure. AJ-Harris connection. I think AJ's high school coach was Brandon's father.

Go Texans!!!

I think Brandon Harris will surprise alot of people next year and think that Wade is bringing him along slowly like Kubiak should have done last year with KJ. CB is probably the 2nd hardest position to transition from college to the NFL, hardest being a starting QB, and it takes some time to get good. I expect big things from Harris but we'll have to be patient first.

Welcome to the board. I remember watch Deion Sanders evaluating Harris as I had. I whooped outloud when he said this. I had mocked Brandon in 2nd and was stoke when Wade trade back into 2nd to get him. Just wished Phillips would come out and say he was redshirting him.
I am happy that he is not being forced into playing assuming that the guys ahead of him are there by merit not just experience. A year from now if he is still largely missing in action then I will get worried.

He's not seeing the field because the corners ahead of him are balling.

After we drafted him, I expected him to be starting by now.

I wuz worng.
There's still a lot of football to be played. 6 regular season games and up to 4 in the playoffs. Harris could easily see the field at some point. I remember Sam Cassell did nothing for the Rockets for much of his rookie year, playing 3rd string behind The Jet and Scottie Brooks. By the time the playoffs rolled around, he's dropping clutch 3's and playing major minutes. I'm not writing off Harris this season, just yet.
