3 Texan All Pros on Clayton's midseason team

I hate to ***** when we finally get the recognition we deserve, but it's a shame that Winston and not Brown is named an OT to the team ?
Duane is having a great year and he's our top lineman, but once again it looks like Winston is getting preferential treatment by people like Clayton because he's sorta an apprentice-journalist.

Can you believe that we are hearing AND are used to hearing that the Texans have the best line in the NFL?

Do you remember where we were 7 years ago?

Its so refreshing to see this.

It wasn't a generic OT category. They named specific LT and RT so Winston wasn't up against Brown he was up against the likes of Thomas. ***** about something real.

I think this is the way it goes.

Leach was actually identified & recognized the year before he actually made the pro-bowl... Mario as well.

Now that people know who they are, they'll watch them. If they keep up the good work, they'll be recognized next year.

From the replies:

On the D id replace Cushing with Lewis and Ike Taylor with Joseph from the Texans, that guy has single handily made the Texans pass D actually become mediocre.

I love idiots.

Although I agree with JoJo over Ike.

Why is that stupid? Did you look at their stats? They are nearly identical, although Cushing has played 1 more game than Lewis since the Texans bye is week 11.

Ray Lewis: 60 tackles, 45 solo, 2 sacks, 2 FF, 1 INT, 6 PD

Brian Cushing: 61 tackles, 39 solo, 2 sacks, 0 FF, 1 INT, 3 PD

Have to go with Lewis based on that.

I was actually referring to the mediocre comment.

I love Ray Lewis and would always be able to argue that he deserves that honor.

I'm aware of the nominal LT & RT postions in this lineup by Clayton, SIs King did the same thing in his midseason allstar team but its clearly a cop out.
It's the best 2 tackles, the best 2 guards, the best 2 cornerbacks, the 2 best WRs, etc. that are named probowlers or to the more meaningful and prestigious all-pro team. Clayton and King both know Winston personally, and they want to take care of their buddy.

7 years ago? Try 4 years ago they were Still saying the Texans had a horrible O-line...

But Ray Lewis gets credited for tackles by yelling at people. If dudes run out of bounds, he gets it. Its a joke.

Time to break out the tin foil hat dude if you think they decided to break down LT and RT just to benefit Winston.

Yup. Zach Thomas got this treatment toward the end of his career. He could jump on top of three of his teammates who were on top of a ball carrier and get credit for the tackle.

Lewis is on the field more.

"Tin foil hat" ? I like that, but what's it mean ?
But if the sports-media isn't taking one of their own under it's collective wing, then to suggest that Winston is one of the top 2 OTs in the NFL just shows how misinformed they are ? Hey, maybe since they happen to know him personally, maybe he's the only other name besides Thomas they could come up with who plays tackle in the NFL ? And Joe Thomas, that's also a poor choice. I hear Connor Barwin kicked his azz all day long in Reliant Sunday.
