one of the best, sure. the best, nah dawg that title is still being held down by The Land Shark over in Baltimore....

Until #52 retires, consider Cush one of the best...
 
He's in the conversation. That's as far as I'd go right now. Can't have the conversation without him. That alone is impressive I think.
 
He's in the conversation for his position, and in the conversation for Defensive POY if the Texans make a run for the best record in the AFC.

His play plus the defense's improvement YoY are a story, and POY would provide a nod to Phillips' impact.

there are certainly many others in the discussion, but unless i'm just not watching enough football, few (if any) are playing near cushing's level.
 
He's getting there. But I can't put him above Willis or even that old guy in Baltimore. But he's getting there.
