Our reamining schedule is not as easy as it once looked

Working?
Cleveland Browns - 3-4 but have a top 5 defense and a top 2 pass defense

@Tamba Bay Bucs - 4-3. Winning record and on the road. Enough said.

@Jags - 2-6 with an inept offense, but a top 10 defense.

Falcons - 4-3 and have won 3 of last 4 (only loss to GB)

@ Bengals - 5-2. See TB. Also top 5 defense with top 2 rush defense

Panthers -2-6, but top 5 offense and a mobile QB. Very unpredictable.

@ Colts -0-8, terrible team.

Titans - 4-3 and potentially for a playoff spot. Very important game.

Other than the Colts, this is not necessarily a "gimme" schedule. At the beginning of the year I would have expected to absolutely destroy Browns, Bengals, and Panthers. All 3 look competitive, or in the case of the Bengals, a real test

To be honest it's a little easier to me than it looked at the beginning of the season.

Tampa Bay is dealing with some major issues and injuries on offense and defense.
Jax is a year away on offense from posing a major threat.
Atlanta will be tough, but we knew that going into the season.
Cincinnati hasn't really played the toughest of schedules to this point, but their defense is legit.
Carolina's defense is so banged up it's not even funny. Cam can only do so much.
The Colts and Titans games are both games we should win easily.

I said we would go 10-6 before the season started, but I'm now thinking the worse record we'll have is 11-5.

Well yeah i guess Texans arent playing all winless teams with no positives, but in comparison to other team schedules its a easy one. I mean you can look at every team in the league and find negatives and positives.

To me there's not really a team on the remaining schedule that we can't beat. They all have their flaws. But, if the Texans don't play it "one game at a time" and start looking past some teams they should beat, they could end up losing enough to let the "tacks" back in the drivers seat. And that wouldn't be good.

The Texans should, IMO, go at best 7-1, or at worst, 5-3 in these last 8 games, provided the injury bug doesn't kill them. Just focus on 1 game at a time baby! :gotexans1

I am sorta excited to see what Houston can do with our new D against a running QB, I remember VY used to eat our ass on the run every game.

Cam Newton is who I am referring to btw.

:fans:

Win (6-3) - Cleveland Browns - Should be easiest game of the year. Be aggressive and win it in the first quarter.

Win (7-3) - Tamba Bay Bucs - We are the better team and i expect it to be like the miami game.

Win (8-3) - Jags - My crystal ball is showing us coming out flat and pissing off fans with a close win.

Lose (8-4) - Falcons - Our defense finally gets rocked against a good offense.

Lose (8-5) - Bengals - Dalton looks like a vet against Kareem Jackson.

Lose (8-6) - Panthers - The sky is falling!

Win (9-6) - Colts - Destroy the colts... superbowl here we come!

Win (10-6) - Titans - Win convincingly, have 2 game lead on titans already.

The Titans schedule

Bengals - L
@Carolina - L
@Atlanta - W
Tampa Bay - L
@Buffalo - L
Nawlin's - W
@Indy - L
Jacksonville - L
@Houston - L

They'll be 6-10 & second in the division.....

Cam is not a running QB.. right now, Colt McCoy is more of a running QB than Cam is.

Cam is a Killa

Cam is a Killa

Granted, Cam doesn't play in an offense that calls running plays for the QB much, but please explain how a QB who has run the ball 33 times for 110 yards is more of a running QB than one who has run the ball 63 times for 319 yards?

Well yeah but what I meant was like VY in Tenn wouldn't have running plays called for him but he would scramble out of the pocket and eat up huge chunks of yardage against us. I wasn't talking about offenses set up for QB drawls or anything just the ability of the QB to get it done on the ground if he gets forced out of the pocket on a blitz.

Cleveland Browns - 3-4 but have a top 5 defense and a top 2 pass defense

-33 net points. Has a losing record on the road. (1-2)

@Tamba Bay Bucs - 4-3. Winning record and on the road. Enough said.

-38 net points. Bucs @ Saints this weekend. They will be hurting when we come to town.

@Jags - 2-6 with an inept offense, but a top 10 defense.

-65 net points. Already beat them once without Andre. They have a rookie QB who is playing like a rookie QB.

Falcons - 4-3 and have won 3 of last 4 (only loss to GB)

-5 net points. Ryan looks mediocre. In Houston.

@ Bengals - 5-2. See TB. Also top 5 defense with top 2 rush defense

One of the biggest games left this year. We have beaten them the past 2 meetings. We took their best CB in FA, and they have a rookie QB that Wade gets to play with.

Panthers -2-6, but top 5 offense and a mobile QB. Very unpredictable.

Cam scares the poop out of me, but overall the team is bad. -20 net points. 0-3 on the road.

@ Colts -0-8, terrible team.

Agreed. -131 net points. Should be over by half time.

Titans - 4-3 and potentially for a playoff spot. Very important game.

-6 net points. Spanked them in their house without Andre. Losing record on the road (1-2). By this time they will have their rookie QB at the helm leading them into the off-season where they have a top 15 draft selection.

My answers in RED. We should duplicate another winning stretch here and end up 11-5.

That is not a murderers row by any stretch of the means. The Browns look to be just about as bad as Jacksonville but they also give up 120 yards a game rushing. Bengals, Bucs, and Atlanta look to be the toughest games, and that's really only cause 2 of them are on the road as both of those teams don't look unbeatable. There is no looming badasses like the Saints or Baltimore or Pittsburgh. I mean look at the Panthers, they could possibly be the next to worst defense we face this year outside of the Colts. The Titans we get in our house this time around and I'm imagining that the Jags game will probably be a loss, I really don't see us losing to Indy this year.

If they don't make 10-6 this year and win the division the entire staff should be fired into the sun.

There are a lot of teams that could beat the Texans if they don't play up to their abilities or if they make a few mistakes. There are also a couple teams on the schedule who are capable of beating the Texans when they are playing well. I never penciled in a10-0 or 9-1 finish.

The Texans could finish with a very good record, but they have to seize this opportunity. Nothing is a given.

@Tampa Bay = loss
@Jacksonville = loss
@Cincinnati = loss

tossup versus Atlanta.

So 9-7 could become 10-6 if Texans beat Atlanta.

Fortunately, Texans are undefeated in the AFC South and the Titans are
behind in every possible way.

The Browns are awful. Their run defensive stats are skewed because teams are ahead easily on them and go into a shell. Texans are an 11 point favorite.

Texans should be favorites in every game, possible exceptions of at CIN and at TB, but even then it will be within 3.

They'll be big favorites in every home game.

Well yeah i guess Texans arent playing all winless teams with no positives, but in comparison to other team schedules its a easy one. I mean you can look at every team in the league and find negatives and positives.

Well, except the colts

This is more realistic
Bengals - L
@Carolina - W
@Atlanta - L
Tampa Bay - L
@Buffalo - L
Nawlin's - L
@Indy - W
Jacksonville -W
@Houston - L

Finish 7-9 and out of the playoffs.
