Joel Dreessen coming up live on NFL network

Gotta talk about those 3-4 Eagles. Instead of talking about teams that are winning their division. And I'm not just talking about us. I'm talking about teams like the 9ers too. They are 6-1 and got no mentions at all.

Haha, they just started talking about them actually!

Speaking of national coverage NFL Primetime and NFL Live today didnt even show highlights from the Texans and Jaguars game. NO mention at all. They even covered the Titans Colts game. Wtf?

Overly bad teams and really good teams playing other good teams get the most coverage. We're just a good team beating a bad team yesterday with no real points of interest in the game, not a lot to see.

Yea but they literally covered every game except the Texans and Jaguars. I dunno just a little ticked.

Agreed, but let me add to that if I may. Eastern teams, Jets, Giants, Patriots, Eagles....etc., get air time for the obvious reason. They are the teams ESPN employees want to talk about. They are their teams. Throw in their little darlings too, Tebow, Big Ben, Brady, Manning, Owens, Ocho, Moss...etc

These are good teams generally speaking, but they will get coverage no matter the record. "We cover them because they are good"....."We are covering them because they stink and it's so strange, we must find out why." "We cover them because one guy seemed a little upset in the lockr room, that's HUGE."

Same with the Yanks and Saux. Same with the Knicks. I made a joke that ESPN would quit talking baseball because all the eastern teams were gone. I can't tell you how many times I heard, "The baseball season is still going?" on the World Wide Leader Of Eastern US Sports. Baseball tonight was even taking small potshots at the Cardinals and David Freese (mainly that gnat Karl Ravech) because Freese had eclipsed a playoff single season RBI total held by mostly AL players in the top five.

Get used to it until the playoffs, assuming we get there. With our remaining schedule we would need to go undefeated the rest of the way to get mention in the last couple of weeks of the regular season.

Ok, I feel better now.

The next game we'll get any sort of coverage for will be when we play Cam Newton.

Why do you care? Didn't you see the game? If you want highlights, you can see them on any number of resources on the internet. When we get to the playoffs, win a few playoff games, win a Superbowl or two, then we'll be on TV on Sun/Mon night, and people will talk about it, if that's what's important to you.

I care cause i like watching recaps. And where did me caring about getting national games come from? I just think its a bit ridiculous to have 2 shows that air back to back that recap every game from the past weekend not even get a mention of the Texans vs Jaguars. They literally recapped every game even if it was for 30 seconds. But Texans Jaguars? Nope 0 coverage.

What he say

Schaub was on rome today and on local radio he told the FANS TO STFU !!!!!! LOL

Yeah, if you needed further proof of ESPN's east coast bias look no further than this. If the Jets or Giants or Eagles or Pats were 6-1 they'd probably use up the whole show talking about them.

OK. You can certainly care about all this ****, but I don't get it. Like I said, If I want to see highlights I can find them online. I know that we won, and that's all I care about.

I see all that too and I betting so does every regualr poster on this board, all of it.

It isn't about them not showing the highlights therefore shutting you out of seeing them. It's about ESPN playing favorites which is irritating. ESPN has been that way for years and it's only gotten worse which adds to the irritation.

I can't wait until an upstart comes along with taking ESPN down as a goal. I give up on Versus. Then they would have to actually have to be a network worthy of what they claim it is.

.

See i could care less if ESPN spends half the time of an hour long show talking about Rex Ryan and his latest guarantee. What gets to me is that they literally covered every game from yesterday but the Texans. I even tweeted Trey Wingo that anchored both shows asking him what was up.

But whatever i said my peace. Im over it

I agree with this, if they didnt even show the score, or a 15 second replay, then that does suck. Like you said, I like to see the replay no matter what.

Im watching the Chiefs vs Chargers and they were doing highlights from all the games, they showed the fumble/lateral play as the only highlight of the Texans game oh but we ended up winning as an after thought. Laaaamme.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with the play and it's impact on the game. I think that if Berman can't say "whoooop" at least twice during a highlight clip, then his contract stipulates he can not use said highlight.

Much like the T-1000, this thread mutates and rears it's ugly head into this forum following every win. Personally, I think the more the Texans are out of the spotlight, the better they will do. The Texans are such a young team that they have not yet shown they can deal with being the favorite and the national attention that comes with that.
