Well, the Titans aren't going to contend like some thought.

The Jags showed a spark of life Monday Night.

Next week is another test for the Texans, gotta put the upstart Jags down 6 games & hopefully extinguish that spark.

After Oakland at home, I still have no idea how our games are going to turn out, but I still believe we make the play-offs.

What say you?
 
Until the Texans are actually mathematically in or out of the playoffs, I can't bring myself to volt for either option 1 or 4. I voted for option 2 this week. :)
 
My expectations haven't changed all year...

After beating the Colts and Fins to start the year 2-0, i still expected 10-6... Aftet NO loss, still did... After Steeluz win, same... After the two straight losses, 10-6...

After this last win i still expect 10-6, but must admit i'm a litte more excited about their chances at 11-5, but don't expect 11-5...

I screwed up, meant to be decrease, miss the play offs.

I feel so pressured when I submit a poll, because I want to get the options out before someone reads the first post. So I copied/pasted & screwed up.

The Titans game restored my faith but I am just as concerned the Jags could come in and...no I'm not. Texans win this one.

I thought the Texans would make the playoffs at the beginning of the year, but my expectations of it happening have increased since Jacksonville & Indianapolis have both played awful so far this year. Tennessee could be the only true competitor for the division and they haven't looked too good yet either. I guess that would mean #2 since my expectations have increased.
 
There wasn't an answer that best describes where I'm at after the last thread like this.

The last thread, I said I became somewhat having "lesser expectations (based on injuries) but still thought we would make the playoffs"... I feel more encouraged again based on the performance against the Tinnbreds, despite losing Danielle Manning (again, another key injury).. The schedule lightens up from here on out AND both the offense and defense has looked decent to good.


Long story short, this team still makes the playoffs.
 
Slightly decreased. I thought they would win 12, end up as the second seed and compete in the AFC championship. Now I think they'll be 3rd/4th and lose a close one to NE/Balt in the division round.
 
The game against the Tits showed us they are the class of the ..... AFC South.


That doesnt tell us a whole lot about how good they really are - Just that they "Should" win the division ..... Is the AFC South NFC West BAD this year ?! Or are the Texans a better team than that ?! ..... Those questions are left unanswered. :kitten:

It shows that we are the early favorites. But we're only half way through the season.

Let's say they win their home games & the away games against less than stellar teams (I know, we don't really know who can make the adjustments & who can't, but imagine Jacksonville (Del Rio) is one that can) they can finish the season 9-7

If I'm Del Rio, I'm looking at this & I'm thinking we're not out of it. This game, this Sunday is pivotal. Win it, & 10-6 plus the division is still very achievable.

It's too early in the season for anyone to be out of it. Even the 0-fer teams can win all the rest of their games and end up at 9-7. That would be a miracle but it could happen.

That said, I look at that schedule for the Jags and I'm thinking they end up 6-10.
 
If the Texans play like they did against the Titans - a complete game, they shuld be able to run the table.

I am still in a "show me" frame of mind. I need to see a few more games like last Sunday before I start to raise my expectations.

This is where my head is at too.
10-6 is very doable. It's icing on the cake if they do better than that. And 10-6 ought to win this division.
