@local2sports has leanred: #texans will re-sign safety Quentin Demps . Has to pass his physical this afternoon. #hounews

I thought that's what they would do...

I thought he was a better player than Keo, so we'll see...

Somewhat surprising in that he has always carried the reputation of not enjoying contact, with the suggestion that he may only be an average "soft" CB in a safety's uniform.

He is fast isn't he? I think that is what he was know for coming out of college, maybe they need some speed on the back end to replace Manning.

I figured this is something they might do as well.

Right now, Demps is a better player than Keo.

I was able to watch him in action in 4 games for the Eagles (as a reserve), and he looked fine to me (as a reserve).

I don't know who they will cut to make room for him; do they have to?

We might be bringing him back to return kicks. I attended a lot of the open practices and saw him getting reps behind Manning on the return team.

Didn't really see him do much with the defense.

If we're talking Jeffrey Demps, we don't need him. If we're regurgitating Will Demps, I think he's off re-inventing himself as a freaky model type guy who will no doubt star in a version of the series as an older vampire freaky kid.

Demps proved to be a very good kick returner for the Eagles in 2008, finishing fourth in the NFL in kick return yards. He averaged 25.3 yards per kick return. He scored his first career touchdown in week 13 against the Baltimore Ravens with a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown. In his rookie season, Demps had 18 tackles and one sack.

We signed him on 12/7/10, played in the last two games last year sparingly. He played in all four preseason games this year and was released in the final cut.

I didn't realize he was that Demps. I thought he was a rookie with us. This is not a bad idea considering our depth there.

In semi-related news, the Bears cut safety Chris Harris today...

This is second time we've made a roster move only to have another option pop up within days

If you saw the tape on the mistakes Harris made against the run .... You wouldnt call him an option. :rake:

Sorry , dont have a link to it .... Saw them on Sports Center when they were showing the highlghts and again NFL Network when they were showing the Lions game .... He blew assignments in the running game that led to huge plays .... It was aso bad I couldnt tell if he thought the calls were different or if he just took risks he shouldnt have taken.

Maybe 76 can find the tape and break it down for us.

To be clear, I have no problem with Q.Demps. Haven't seen enough of him to form an informed opinion. I'll simply say that if Wade is good with it then so am I.

How 'bout that Quentin Demps?

Came off the street & played well, made a few plays even.
