Does anyone know where I can purchase a copy of this book?

Oiler Blues: The Story of Pro Football's Most Frustrating Team written by John Pirkle

The book "tells the complete history of the team that came within one yard of winning last year's Super Bowl-the Tennessee Titans.

The story is primarily a sad one as it details the Titans' woeful predecessors, the Houston Oilers (1960-98).

A former U.S. Justice Department attorney, Pirkle gives a detailed, season-by-season account of the ill-fated team whose hometown didn't shed a tear when it moved to Tennessee. Bad trades, bad tempers, bad seasons, and bad management marked the team that for years hinted at greatness but never achieved it.

The book also chronicles the evolution of football in the age of television, into a money-making vehicle."

I've been looking for a copy of this book for the past couple of years, as I missed my initial chance when John McClain was out pimping it. By the time I got around to wanting to buy it, it is out-of-print!

We've been looking online and in used book stores, but it's been difficult to say the least.

Anyone here have any ideas or connections to locate a copy? It would be greatly appreciated by this Houston football fan. :)

Thanks, Huge! :thumbup

I had requested it from amazon.com last year and kept getting updates that they were out-of-stock. I finally gave up on them, but it looks like I might be able to get a copy or two. I appreciate the heads up.

Has anyone read it?
