I liked that breakdown a lot, thanks for posting. I registered an account on their site just now :)

In the second video showing the T/E twist, has anyone gone back to look for the Illegal Contact call from that play? That was a huge turnover that got called back.

In the fourth video showing Foster's run, it looks like 65 executes a chop block while the DT is still engaged with Myers. I'm surprised that didn't get called given the refs we had on Sunday.

Looks like Myers had already disengaged when the cut block occurs.
 
my favorite is the last video of Foster's run showing the Dullass Cullboize ahead 27-10 on the score update at the bottom of the screen.

I liked seeing OD driving Farrior about 10 yards away from the play.

Winston easily takes care of Aaron Smith. IMO, those two had the most to do with that play.

I agree with you 100%. That was exactly what I was thinking.

I've been critical of Winston in pass pro, but that block on Smith was a thing of beauty.
 
Cool to see. I also take lots of pressure in seeing that Polomalu had outside contain on that last clip and Foster beats him. Good to see our playcalling and execution make the great ones look stupid sometimes.
 
The blitz pick up video was amazing. To think, we had one of the worst lines in the NFL not too long ago. Just an unbelievable job.

I was but on the same note, the video on the blitz pick up winston was one on one with the defensive end who nearly took the ball out of Schaub's hand. I haven't watched him or studied film so he may perform better than that on average, but on that one where everyone else did a great job handling the blitz on the fly, he was the weak link.

But on that same note, if Winston is your weakest linemen, you can survive. There are so many teams with holes at positions or whole sides, I'll live with Winston getting an average block on a stud 3-4 D end.
 
Pretty sure if they had called Foster's TD back for a chop block (which from the tv camera angle looks like a chop, from the replay angles not so much) the stadium would've descended onto the field for a lynching.

Very good point. I have been really happy with the 180 our line has done over the last few years. I remember when meyers first showed up our line was terrible and we were all saying "oh nice job kubiak, our whole line is terrible and you thought the best solution was this undersized swing Gaurd/Center. I bet he can really help us" lol. I guess there are one or 2 things kubiak can hang his hat on.

I was watching the game on TV at home...

I could sense, just off the crowd noise over the TV's speakers, that the Reliant crowd was definitely angry and could have quite possibly done exactly as you mentioned. And I'm serious.

There was a sense that the refs were helping the Steelers, sort of feeling sorry for them. Even the mis-called JJ Watt penalty at the end of the game was wrong. But...it LOOKED bad, so the refs felt they had an angle to use there.

And we STILL intercepted him a few plays later. Refs couldn't beat fate that day, IMO. But they tried.

I've been in there when it's gotten rowdy a time or two but that's cheering and happiness floating about. This was easily, EASILY the loudest, most grumpy booooooooooooo!!!!ing I've ever heard.....or participated in!

It really felt like the refs kept the Steelers in the game. I'm not saying penalties aren't deserved...the block in the back from Manning, geez, we cheered for the sake of cheering but we all saw that flag go down...

But getting tripped into a QB isn't roughing the passer by anyone's standards. Accidental or intentional is a big thing to put on a guy already worried about so much who gets ONE shot at a look. No replay on the field. I'm really not so thrilled with that one, the call but also how roughing the passer could possibly take away a score or possession? It's after the play and has nothing to do with the how that play ends. And even if you want to make the penalty be no score, just get the ball where it was INT'd.....it's STILL Texans ball. Should be anyway. IDK I think that's a pretty bogus advantage for offense and a door left WAAAAAY to open for referees to make a call look like a biased decision.

I don't feel like the Refs were trying to put the Steelers in a winning place. I do, however, feel like they kept them in the game just in case the Texans....well, pulled a Texans and gave it up late in the game.

I remember seeing it while watching the game and started screaming at the TV when Brown kicked out and picked up Beautiful Hair. It was a thing of beauty.
