Garrett Graham?

fiasco west

All Pro
What happened to him? Remember...the guy that a lot of people thought of as insurance should O.D never be the same after his injury or should O.D go elsewhere if the Texans didn't pay him.

I mean he sure would come in handy now, the Patriots sure make use of their TEs.

I was just thinking and it seems since we've drafted him he has barely played and thus far has recorded 0 stats.

I would much rather we draft a rookie and sit him for a year or two rather than draft a rookie and shove him out there when he's not ready, which is what we've been forced to do in the past.

We have dept at TE. That's good. Let Garrett Graham sit and learn for a while. Our offense is complicated. Let him absorb it. When we need him, we will use him.

I agree with Fiasco, Graham even got the OD seal of approval as being ready for the NFL and this is his 2nd year. Let's see what he can do.

Not that Dreessen or Casey are bad players. Dressen is solid, not like he can't be beat out though.

Casey is our FB and not a full time TE though. As for Graham sitting down and learning it's his 2nd year and I'm just wondering if we have anything with him. Have heard little of him even in preseason.

Daniels is a probowl TE, Dreessen is a great blocker and decent enough as a pass catcher and Casey is....well....blowing up.

Hey, he beat out Anthony Hill.

This was what I was going to post. I'd like to see some more 2 TEs sets especially with AJ out.

The thing is with Casey, sometimes he's a FB and sometimes he's a TE. We actually go 3 TE fairly often with Casey, OD, and Dreessen all on the field and functioning as TEs.

Casey is a receiving threat when he lines up out at TE, Dressen is a great blocking TE, Graham's problem is he is balanced in both aspects of the game like OD, however Garrett's not nearly as polished as his probowl caliber teammate.

We might see a lot of 3 TE sets this week , hell , I wouldnt be surprised to see a 3 TE set with Casey at FB too .... Since no WR outside of AJ is cabable of catching the ball.

With AJ being out , this teams best recieving threats are TE's .... and all could present mismatches no matter who they are defended by.

I dont think the Raiders can stop the Texans running game , may as well run 3 TE sets with Walter at WR .... and run run run while mixing in play action stuff .... Expect to see a lot of long methodical drives this Sunday.

Just pray you dont fall behind ..... ugh.

I dont think the above works against the Ravens defense ..... You have to threaten them deep.

Great discussion. And I agree. Keep messing with the Raiders' heads with multiple TE looks. Spreads things out for AF as well.
