Oakland is a MUST WIN

We've been here before. 3 and 1 is nice.

But a loss next week to Oakland leaves the Texans at 3-2 followed by a certain black and blue game in Baltimore. With a second consecutive loss there, the good guys are right back to .500

The Oakland game is a must win.
 
Not even thinking about the Ravens.

The Raiders are a tough matchup for the Texans. I really think our run defense will be utterly exposed next sunday and we are going to end up in a close game again. I wouldn't be shocked at all if the Raiders take the AFCW.
 
Mcfadden is a beast I am a little worried. Texans are going to have to load up the box and make the passing game beat them.
 
It's a big game. Our run defense is really going to get tested. The good thing is the Raiders seem to shoot themselves in the foot as often as they make good plays.

Well, let's hope the Texans don't have one of those Super Bowel movements against the Raiders. 4-1 would be ideal.
 
What really bums me out about the Oakland game (and I know a lot of you have thought about this too) is that I was looking forward to seeing AJ go off on the Raiders. He's always had Aso on the other side keeping him in check and I thought "This time he's going to finally get loose against those guys".

It's a small thing really but it would have been nice to see. Now I'll just be thrilled if we get to see him play again this year.
 
The Raiders are a good team. It's going to be a tough damned game.

If we're one of the better teams in the AFC, then we beat them. They're going to be looking at us and licking their chops. McFadden could break 300 yards.

OTOH, our D has mostly gameplanned against the pass this year. Maybe it will be better against the run when we actually gameplan against it.

McFadden scares the hell out of me.

And AJ's injury scares the hell out of me.

I have no hell left in me because it's all been scared out.
 
Raiders have been playing good this season. They beat the Jets. I am glad its a Home game for us. Still remember Foster breaking out for a 80 yard touchdown last season
 
Everygame is not a must WIN if we get around 11 wins buy week 12 and the rest of the divison is in crumbles and out injuries Are mounting "knocks on wood" then we will shut it down anywayz

Im just glad we won today i said @Nola and vs Pitts was going to be there hardest part of our sechudle and we came out 1-1 im Happy

but i agree with U the raiders at home should seem like a game we should win we beat the teams we are supposed to beat and this is one of them seeing is how we beat them last year without AJ

I just want Tate or Ward healthy.

I want Andre healthy too, but we can deal with it for one game.

Having at least two healthy RBs is a MUST though.

Oakland's D is not like Pittsburgh where losing Andre will completely mess up our offense. At least it shouldn't. Get Jacoby, Walter, and whoever else involved more if Andre's out. Run two and even three TE sets.
 
You know what really sucks? After we play this Raider game probably without AJ, We play the Ravens in Baltimore coming off a bye, and then the Titans in Tennessee coming off a bye.
 
I have a feeling this game will be a good one. I'm hoping we can limit the amount of stupid penalties we give away, but I doubt it. Either way I'm expecting it to be a close game. McFadden should have a good game against you guys...hopefully it will be enough to leave Houston with a W.

All the fantasy players up in here are freaking out because they know what McFadden can do. I love it.


I think we shut them down because we have good pursuit. McFadden likes running zone and outside the hashes. As long as we can pursue well we shouldn't give up the home run... Which is what every Raider team since dawn of football has been assembled to do.

Everything is well, although life has gotten a bit busier so I don't tend to post as much as I used to. I still try to browse this site a few times a week though.

Anyway, I wish the best for your team, hopefully this will be the last regular season loss for you guys. :fingergun:

I would rather not have the same feelings, almost word-for-word, as a Raiders fan. :kitten:
 
I really think people are overreacting to the raiders. Sure they can run the ball very well & our run defense isn't the greatest, but we can stop the run when we need to. Their passing game is also suspect as hell as they have really noone that scares me outside. They also of course have Jason Campbell as thier triggerman.

I think wade comes into this game run blitzing his ass off making them 1 dimensional & Campbell turns it over a few times passing & getting sacked once we inevitably get to him.

Offensively, i see our TE's having big games as casey gets more into the fold with the loss of AJ.
 
The game against the Raiduz is no more a must win than the last four... It's a game against a good team... Not the first, not the last...

What it is: the first game of the year against a team West of the Mississippi River...

Hasselbeck has done this throughout his career. He's streaky. He'll string some good games together and then he'll string a stink bomb series together.
