Steve needs a change of pace, he's obviously in the dog house or lost his confidence. A change of scenery may be just what the doctor ordered, and Miami isn't realy that bad of a city

I don't understand why he can't run in our ZBS, isn't that what they ran @ WV? He still has the speed, just haven't seen that vision needed to read blocks.
I watched slaton a lot at wv and he didnt have good vision even then. I remember watching games with my friend back then and talking about how he wasn't as good as some people made him seem.
Slaton often ran into the backs of his linemen in college. When he gets enough carries though, he has the speed, open field toughness and balance to make big plays.
But his agility and vision are not great.

This is probably his last chance to make it in the NFL, so I hope he does well too. I would love it if he found his mojo in Miami and beat out Bush for a rotation spot. When Slaton was doing so good in his first year here, I used to say we had a better and cheaper version of Bush. It would be nice if that were actually to happen once again. Because it was certainly true Slaton's first year here.

why all the hate, i liked slaton, he had 1 good season for us. And then sucked, so what. I hope he goes on to become a starter and rush for many 1,000 yard seasons.

I liked Slaton at WV, and then his first season here. Don't know what happened to him, but I still like the guy.

Did anyone actually watch that TD? It looked just like any number of his 1-yd runs here in Houston. He ran right into the back of his OL and kept pumping. LOL

unfortunate after his injury, I had a chance to talk with him on several occasions and he was a really nice guy from what I could tell. Very down to earth talked a lot about his time at WVU.
Hope he's put enough money away, and can make a transition to life after the NFL.
