Gonna be the top game on CBS in the 1pm slot. Lots of people (it looks like) are interested in seeing if we can beat a team that has not looked as good as it normally does this season.

Is Matt Hasselbeck such a continuing interest that Seattle schedules a crappy game (TN vs CLE) instead of two of the top teams in the AFC in an early, *cough*, *cough*, AFC playoff preview?

I find it interesting that Seattle will be getting the Tennessee game. They must be interested in watching Hasselbeck?

Ah......that makes sense....I just send this map to a co worker and we both missed the obvious on that one...both confused on Seattle but that makes sense.

Wondering Why KC and St Louis blacking us out.

Lol @ Dallas blacking us out.....tricks

Um what NFL rule means there's no game in Dallas...

No network can air a game that will compete against a home team in it's own market, if that game is not subject to blackout.

Since the Cowboys game is a) in Arlington b) a noon kick and c) a sellout the local CBS cannot air any of the early AFC games.

I think all 3 markets have to black us out because they have home games at the same time we do.

Yeah, which means that even though we are on as the CBS prime game, more people around the country will be watching Romo get crushed by the Lions

Not really. If you look at both maps the Houston game is being shown in more States than the Dallas game. A lot of places will be having both games though.

Wow. The last time The Texans played a game on CBS with this much
coverage, we got curbstomped at home by the Jets. This is an opportunity
for this team to blast onto the national stage, or humiliate its fans at home
(again.). C'mon Kubiak, BREAK THE PATTERN!!!

I noticed in week 2, both Dallas and Houston were on the road playing at 3pm. Dallas showed NE/SD instead of the Texans, and Houston showed the Saints game instead of the cowgirls. Did this have anything to do with the rule or was it more what they thought people wanted to see?????

Nothing to do with the rule, the choice of games in that instance is left up to the local affliate. Rule only applies to the home team's market.

It might be that there is more Saints interest in the Houston area now than Cowboy interest (just a guess). Houston usually shows the Cowboys when possible. The same cannnot be said for Dallas/Ft Worth - I'm not sure what's going on up there sometimes. Even when they can show the Texan's game, they will usually opt for some other matchup. I've seen these maps show many times the entire state of Texas watching the Texan game except for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area...

Yep- don't get that. I've been in the Metroplex for about 20 years (native Houstonian though), and in the last few years, they've shown the Texans opening game, but then been very spotty the rest of the year. This year, the first Texans game we got was @ NO. No love for the Texans here, even when it doesn't conflict with the 'Boys.

Funny deal- the Rangers are rolling into the playoffs, and here it still seems like the Cowboys get the majority of coverage.

Also, Seattle's had the Titans game at least the last 2 weeks.... can't remember if they did week 1 though.

When I noticed the Tennessee game in Washington, my first thought was Jake Locker. I know he's not starting, but people up there may be interested in following Tennessee now.

Am I missing something? Locker played for UW in Seattle, and was Tennessee's first round pick. I know he's not starting this weekend, but he is in line to be the Titans' QB of the future. I figured people in Seattle would be more interested in watching the Titans for Jake Locker moreso than their ex QB. (Kinda like they were showing the Cleveland game in Austin in week 2)

Yes but Mccoy was starting for Cleveland. I doubt people are going to be watching the game because of the backup quarterback.

I remeber last week hearing we were stuck with Gumby and Dumbledorff as announcers again this week.

Great another week of hearing "Marrey-Oh".

I can't take these guys anothr week!!!

YES! Looks like we'll be getting the game in Baton Rouge! I've lived in Houston my whole life and am now in my first year at LSU and am realizing how I used to take watching my houston sorts teams on TV for granted. I've had to be very creative to watch the texans lately so this should make for a more peaceful sunday!

I don't necessarily care for Gumby either. I've always liked Dan D. though. I liked him from his days in the trenches and he does often have something positive to say about the Texans. Now if it were Gumble & Steve Tasker in the booth it would be muted for sure! :gotexans1

That was more of a directed self-facepalm... I picked a dandy time to move to Seattle. lol

This game is on tv for me too! First one of the season that I don't have to find a crappy Internet stream to watch it on.

The Patriots-Raiders coverage map is interesting.

Why are parts of Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee getting this game (Pats-Raiders)? At first I thought it was because of Darren McFadden, but University of Arkansas is in Fayetville, which isn't carrying the game if you zoom in on the map. Anyone know?

And why is southern South Carolina getting this game? What's the connection there?

#1. It's basically two viewing areas: Little Rock and Memphis (If you click in the areas, it will say where the feed is coming from).

McFadden is from Little Rock so that makes sense but I'm not sure why the Memphis viewing area joined in. New England has a placekicker (Gostkowski) who went to Memphis - that's the only tie I see....

#2. As for South Carolina (Charlston viewing area), Jacoby Ford (Oak) went to Clemson... that's all I got.. Must be a favorite son from Charleston on one of these teams....

There used to be a comments page for each of the maps and you could usually find answers to the odd programming.... I don't see it this year.....
