Antonio Smiff!

Had to go with Antonio Smith, he's been the most consistent and I still think on a national scale, he's flying under the radar. If he can keep up the play that he's had this preseason and week 1, he could be on his way towards a probowl appearance. The dude has been OUTSTANDING in this young season and new system.

I think im going to go with Cushing here. He seems due after the season he had last year. Blitz up the middle, the Dolphins seemed vulnerable too it against the Pats.

Antonio gets the sack and the resulting forced fumble will be returned for a TD too
:homer:

That will be a very nice second sack after Watt kills the Fins first drive with a sack at their 28 yd line on 3 & 2.

I'm a go with JJ Watt. I expect Jake Long to be on Mario so that's a good match up I'm looking forward to BTW.

I think Mario will predominantly be lined up against their RT. In the past though, he has shown some success against Long. I expect Mario to get at least one sack though. I will be interested to see how Miami's line does against our line, which is more athletic than the Patriots.

There was little pressure on Henne, and our defensive philosophy is to attack. The Patriots defense seemed to be more of a base defense, waiting for Henne to make the mistake. I think we have a better defense than New England. If so, we are winning that game.

I think Wade moves Mario oppossite side from Jake Long to get the first sack. You know it's new & kinda fun to make these bold predictions about sacking the QB. Very strange indeed :d:

Been reading at this site for a while and this is my first post!

I think it'll be Watt who comes away with the first sack of the game. He didn't get one in the last game and he has been dreamin big and workin hard LOL

Welcome aboard Greek. You've found the best Texans forum, bar none.
I hope you're right about Watt getting the first sack. He is already a huge factor on defense, and it will be great to see him excel, and help this team win the division in '11.

It won't be Watt, because Smith will get one because of Watt first. I don't think it will be Mario, Smith, or Watt, because I hear their line is big and Mario will be accounted for--not that he won't get his eventually. With them out, I'm goin' with Barwin first.

Dreaming big? A sack would be a step down from his fumble recovery last week.

Welcome to the site. Glad to have you here!

I went with "Tater Salad". Tater will get the first sack, causing a fumble, recovering himself and return it for a TD.

:koolaid:

I'm thinking it'll be Mario. I recall him having a good game against Long before, and I trust in Wade's ability to get favorable match-ups.

Like 2 other guys have said, Cush right up the middle and not only gets the 1st sack but causes a turnover with a fumble that Mario picks it up and scores the first def TD this year!!

I bet Watt not only gets the 1st sack, but also gets the texans 1st INT of the year. Henne does a lot of short passes and Watt's gonna tip one to himself.

Mario with 1st sack
Antonio 2nd sack
Barwin 3rd sack
JJ with 4th sack
Mario 5th sack

Damn! That is a lot of sacks in one game.:d:

Go Texans!!!

I went with Antonio, he reallys seems to like this :d:Everytime I saw him on the sidelines last week he was smiling big as Texas.

Its hard not to like a D when you put a blowout on a rival (i know it was manningless but still) and you put up a sack and forced fumble. This D is scary because they are young, enthusiastic, and seemed to have bought into one of the best DC of all time (IMO) schemes. While it may not be top 5, this D has the potential of being a top 10 D and that is scary with how solid this offense is
