Ok! So who is going to New Orleans for the game Sept. 25th? Is there a get together planned Saturday night, other then the team organized one? Where/what did everyone do last year? French Quarter?

We are getting there friday night and going to see the area. We have never been to NO or an away game :turtle: looking forward to it!

My wife and I are going up Friday as well and have a night by ourselves before our friends show up. The tailgate we are going to hangout with is http://www.tailg8n.com/. I saw this group on Tailgate Warriors with Guy Fieri on the foodnetwork and they looked like they like to have fun so I contacted them threw their website and ask if we could join and he had no problem.

He does charge a fee but it isn't much. You don't have to bring anything but yourself and he supplies all the food and beer your heart desires. He is a pretty cool dude!
 
I put it in another thread, but just so we have a running list...I'll be there with 3 other guys Sat-Monday. Not that I'm active on the boards, but if we get something together, we'd like to meet up and have fun with other Texans.

Saint Arnolds is hosting a tailgate in New Orleans. Just saw it on twitter.

On Sunday, September 25 the Texans are playing at the Saints and we are tailgating pregame for the excitement in New Orleans. We have a limited number of tailgating party passes and if you would like one, email lennie@saintarnold.com to get on the list. Make sure to include your contact info as well. Each person that emails can get two passes.

Ok! I have just had time to get back here! We r staying At the Renaissance marriot right off the French quarter! We got nosebleed seats which r more then our Texan 10 rows from the field seats, but oh well! Anyone have any plans for saturday night?
 
So who wants to be the coordinator?? We can pm each others number and hang out pre game and celebrate post game somewhere,also any other night before the game is fine with me.

Ill be their from Thursday-Monday, staying at Dauphine Orleans Hotel 1 block away from Bourbon St. Ill be sporting my Texans gear up and down Bourbon and Harrahs.

Ha ha blast! I would but once alcohol is in my system I tend to be forgetful plus thanks to you I got and email that said

Because you emailed in time you are entitled to a pass that admits 2 guests to the tailgate party that is held at the corner of Loyola and Poydras near the Superdome. The gates for this party will open at 9:00 AM and it put together by our distributor, Southern Eagle of New Orleans, who also distributes Anheuser-Busch products. So, don't be alarmed when you see Bud Light signage. More instructions will be listed on the pass.

You can email this guy. He welcomes all fan and from what I hear throws a hell of a tailgate. He does charge but you don't need to bring anything and he is sponsored by Budweiser. Here is his website - www.tailg8n.com His name is Scott

He is a saints fan but I have a small group of 8 to 10 of us that will be joining his tailgate this weekend.

Sup Eddie not sure if you remember me but I went by your hookah tailgate with my girl and Orlando an his girl at the Saints preseason. Thanks for the good time and hospitality.

My wife and I are going and would l to link up with other Texans fans Saturday and Sunday. Were at the Harrah's Hotel downtown.
 
Definitely looking to this game big time but the fight Saturday is going to be one hell of a fight, just icing on the cake of what will be an awesome weekend.
 
Please post if you will be able to attend the Saturday "drink session". Lets meet at the bar area. I am speaking with the guy that Eric knows to understand the layout of the bar.

ETA, The owner dude seems cool. He said that there is plenty of seating and they also have a patio area if we end up with a large group. Here is a pic of the patio

Ugh I have only one texans white shirt and its not a jersey. What color will saints fans be wearing, black and gold I assume so white should pop.

We're gonna be there, too.

Have a wedding in Shreveport Sat night. Ducking out of the reception early, driving to Alexandria to spend the night, then up for the drive to NO early Sunday.

Gonna be a long day, but I'm excited for our 1st away game
