Did anyone over the past 9 years ever imagine seeing a number like this...........especially this soon............in our life times?
 
It was only a few weeks ago that the Colts were favored by 1, even with the knowledge that Peyton was not going to be participating in preseason.........which would have already accounted for a lessening of that number to begin with.
 
I'm sure there is a page in Ripley's Believe it or Not for stuff just like this.
 
We all knew Peyton was getting older and the Texans slowly getting better (well, hopefully anyway). Not saying Peyton has lost anything, but an injury that kept him out of a game against us was not all that unlikely. Couple that with how much that team depends on him (which is astronomical) and, no, I'm not surprised.

Well, maybe just a little, but not much. :)
 
As long as we play better than we did the FIRST time this team was favored....against the Bengals! :eek:
 
Keep in mind, that this line is with the significant possibility that Foster is not in the picture.........just one more good reason not to take any chances.

I didn't know that. Wow, they must have have gotten an overwhelming number of takers when it was Houston as a 1 point dog. I can imagine thay did at that.
 
When the game is over with, as long as we're ahead by at least one point, I'm good with it. :)
 
I see us getting a big play action pass play on the first play from scrimmage to Andre. You know the Colts are gonna be biting on the run.

Seriously, I'm sure this spread will really provide a hich-octane stumulus for the Colts in their season opener. Thankfully it's also our season-opener, so maybe we will have problems but they shouldn't be from over confidence or lack of inspiration.
 
What's wrong with a little love to the Texans? We better get used to this now. Because, more love from media is coming our way.
 
I think we can clear a 9 point spread. The Colt's offense won't be nearly as good as it was with Peyton, so this adjustment is more like the the Colts are less likely to score as much. The Texans should still put up 31 points on them, but the Colts will probably only score 17 on us.

Yup. And if up by 2 TD's the Texans will go into burn the clock mode knowing Peyton isn't itching to make a comeback so I don't see 40 points unless the D scores.
 
Yeah, well, let's wait and see if we end up 5-7 again like we've done for the past four years before we get ahead of ourselves here.
