NFL.com unanimously predicts playoffs for the Texans

Lombardi thinks the Titans win the south? What a tool. I would suspect the Jags might be the surprise team out of the two mentioned most often in last place. They made some good defensive moves. I just don't think they have the offense to keep up with the Texans or Colts.

All this talk of division title because Manning is out has me terrified.

As we've seen before, the Texans have a habit of falling down in the face of rookie and resurected QB's. Making them the favorites is the worst thing that can happen with this team.

And if anyone thinks the Colts are going to just give up and let us have the win ain't happening. If anything, they will be extra motivated to save the day for their wounded leader......

Precisely!!!! That is what scares me the most! If we don't win Sunday, I'm not coming back to this board. Can u imagine the reaction to that? And Kerry Collins has had some great games! Scary!

They added a couple of good LB.

They still don't have a pass rush and didn't do anything to a secondary that was nearly as bad as ours.

I realize anything can happen, but I think we are going to smash the Colts if we aren't turning the ball over.

If they don't have a pass rush, then what are Freeney and Mathis?

Oh, I know. Better than our guys.......

The two you mentioned get the bulk of their sacks and pressures based on the premise that the Colts are up by 3 TD's and the opposing team is playing catch up by passing a lot. Without Manning that is not happening.

They signed S Dawan Landry and traded for S Dwight Lowery, both of which are expected to start (Landry for sure). Their secondary is upgraded, although I still don't think it's very good.

Very strong is the curse of cuppacoffee.

The talking heads were predicting big things for my Irish, ranked 16 or 14 depending on who you listened to.

What happened? :thud:

If the Texans are serious about winning they will quit wasting money on high draft picks and expensive free agents. They would be better served by greasing my palm :money: to find another team to support.

People on the Irish site I visit were drinking the blue and gold koolaid.

I will believe my two favorite teams are winners when they prove it.

:coffee:

Jacksonville just cut Garrard. They're in chaos.

I don't think I've ever seen the stars align for any team in this manner before. It's amost like the universe is finally saying "Here, Texans. Go do something!"

New D baby!

We might not be able to shut down Manning whenever he is ready, but we SHOULD be able to rattle some rook QBs.

We're winning the division, it's not even up for discussion here in my own private Lalaland :)

Football gods may be smiling on the Texans this year...

But we still have to go out and decimate/humiliate our division enemies. Period.

not only are the stars align they have made a pattern of the Texans Logo in the sky : P

and the Raccons snakes rats and mice have all perfectly Marched out of the Astrodrome in a single file line

and the Houston football Curse has been lifted

Damn you, Norg!

The season hasn't started yet and you are already talking "Houston's sports curse is over." If I know one thing about the karma of Houston sports, it is that the sucker punch is looming, usually in the form of a backup QB.

We started as a new franchise, without all the advantages of Carolina and Jax, to face the 3 years prior SB contending Titans, Peyton Manning hitting his prime, and the ever-tough, if not good Jaguars....who had all those advantages starting out and had some experience on us as well.

It's about time the pendulum swung and we had our revenge. We really don't know how good this franchise will be, but we do know that everything up to this point is probably the bottom of the barrel for us for quite some time...

I don't know if this year is really ours, but this is our decade. We will own the AFC South.

But he does have 3 of our guys in the top of their respective categories AND has us in the Play-offs. So not full hatred !

This scares me. If we do NOT win out this year, it's gonna get ugly. Very, very ugly.

I can't wait for the season to get started already.

All this damn speculating is driving me nuts. The Texans need to show it on the field, and I believe they will this year. I'm betting that they are tired of always letting themselves down too.

So here's to a great, productive season!!
