Shantee Orr

Texas

Veteran
What do you think of him. From the few things I've seen in the preseason of Orr he impressed me with a nice pass rush. Id like to know what yall think?

I thought that he was pretty good when he played a couple of years ago, he seemed like he could make some plays.

That's exactly how I feel - I remember when he played against the Falcons and got a sack on Vick, though in all fairness to Vick he was coming off an injury( we beat the Falcons that day, but that was in the old days when we were competitive). But he looked good and I checked out his college background and discovered he'd had an impressive record at Michigan where he started, I think multiple years. I swear, we've had guys on the bench we've paid a pittance for that are better than some starters we've given up multiple first day draft choices for.

People are finally starting to notice! This has been the case since at least last year. The front office and coaches have been more concerned with perceptions and images than with winning. They can cover up their personnel mistakes (and there have been many) for only so long.

he seems like a lot like peek to me. giant motor, good pass rush, just wants to hit somebody (hard), but will sometimes overrun the play & will suffer a few of the "DE playing LB" mental lapses.

He just needs some PT and he will be one of our better LB's.

As far as Orr he is not the best athlete, but he is definately a hard-work type player. He is the type of player that works his butt off for his chances and he will play hard all the way through the whistle. The problem with him is that he is quite small at 6' 241 and he does not have great speed. i have not seen him enough in pass coverage, but I would guess he is no worse than Babin. I think he will put up 4tacks and 1 sack for the game against Cinci.
