Flashback Defense: Texans @ Steelers 2002

WOW!!! A reminder that we once played defense in this city. Unfortunately the defense couldn't win more games back then considering they were on the field about 70% of the time *ahem*...
Thank you HWSNBN and Chris Palmer!

BTW, that was a 3-4 defense, albeit Vic Fangio's and not Dom Caper's!!

I would bet my entire genitals set that the ultimate homer, 76Texan, would make a "Aaron Glenn bad play" if he was in competition with Careem.

:vincepalm:

What , you think AG never got beat while in a Texans uniform ?

76 backs up his idea's with concrete evidence .... frame by frame. Its un-denyable.

Hell , every CB gets beat once in a while , its how they react to getting beaten that matters.

BTW - This was an exciting game. To go into Pittsburgh and come out with a win was huge.

What will be even more exciting is having the Steelers come into our house and us taking the win in game 4. We can do it. I believe we WILL do it!

Go Texans! :fans:

When he shows frame for frame and says what he THINKS should of happened, And how he has the double standard with Allen and K. Jac. Go back and read he contradicts himself A LOT saying this wasnt jacksons fault cause the safety had poor coverage, but if its allen and the safety has poor coverage well to bad thats allens fault. No offense 76 but u are biased with ur break down/comparison of Allen VS Jackson

Ha! That game was awesome.

Does anyone remember how Palmer had Carr constantly throw those quick sideline passes and hope he could break a tackle. I felt so bad for AJ. All that talent standing there tryin' to snag a pass at the line of scrimmage.

We really have come a long way!

AJ wasnt on the team in 2002, but yeah i remember our old non creative offense.

We ran at least two of those per game back then. They actually worked well for a while. I wish we would run those a little here and there. Seems like they ran one last year or the year before in I want to say Buffalo on the opening drive and AJ blew them up he nuked that D, it was freaking awesome.

i think ur talking about when we played the bengals and AJ took it 60 our something like that yards

That was what I still don't get. Why didn't Dom run the D? I mean you look at strong former coordinators like Rex Ryan or Billichek have their finger prints all over their Defenses. Dom for some reason didn't seem to want to have anything to do with it. Weird.

I always though it was amusing how many times that durn play was called. I mean, cmon, guys, if it didn't work the first 10 times, do we really need to try it an 11th time!

No, he just wanted to get his dirty paws all over the offense until it was as vile as could be. I never saw any sense in that either.
