Brett Grimes' wife going after Orlando Ledbetter on Twitter

FLOWERY BRANCH – Just got back from lunch and found out that Brent Grimes and his wife, a former intern at 790 The Zone, went on the air to say some very kind things about me.

A few examples, via @iheartmiko on Twitter from Grimes’ wife, Miko Grimes:

Well party on then! Guess they didn’t like me doing my job.

Part of a beat writer’s job is to see who’s at practice and when they are not here, tell the readers why. Nothing personal. Grimes has not signed his first-round tender and is not here. Vance Walker, John Parker Wilson and Eric Weems have signed and are here even though they can practice.

But, I have a confession. There are days when I dress causal to cover practice and then change into my suit to shoot my standup video. Some days I forget the dress socks and end up with dress shoes and tube socks.

Today, I remembered by dress socks. (Video will be up later!) But now, I’m thinking the dress shoes and tube socks thing might catch on. Should look real nice with one my bow ties.

Waiting for the 2 Lives Stews to send over the transcript. I’ll post that too.

Doug asked me if I heard her radio rant. I sent back this text, ” Missed it! Just doing my job! Folks aren’t at practice. I have to tell my readers why. Nothing personal with me. D. Led goes hard in the paint. You can read this on the air.”

Man, this post-lockout era is off to a grand start!!!
