Okoye to CHI

A one-year contract isn't exactly indicative of thinking high thoughts about that player but good for him.
 
Best of luck to Amobi. He may have not seen the success on the field we were all hoping for (and expecting) but he really is a great guy. Hope he does well in the NFC.
 
I wish Amobi the best. I wouldn't be disappointed one bit if he finally emerges as a Bear.

So what do you guys think happened to him? His first 6 games as a rookie, we all thought we had the next Warren Sapp.

lol! I guess I can finally call him a bust without someone rushing to his defense. I never liked the pick. Thought it was a reach on draft day, simply because we had so many more holes to fill than using a pick on a 'project player' that is supposed to mature in 4-5 years.

He'll probably kick ass in Chicago now that we've trained him through his years that most players are in college.

I think it was a terrible pick, but I still think he can be a good player. I like the guy, so I hope he does. Then he'll have more money to build hospitals and stuff.
 
Okoye is a solid run stopper in a 4-3 system. If you ask him to stay home and play the run he is fine. He cannot be a passrusher.

I agree. I would have felt different about the pick if this was a mature, consistently wining team that could afford to use a first round pick on a player that would have to be allowed a few years to mature.

I do not dislike Okoye and feel the same way about him that you mentioned. Good luck and hope it works out with the Bears.
